Recently, Dasun Solar's official WeChat account announced that its Anji Intelligent Manufacturing Base project is nearing completion and will soon be operational. It's expected that Dasun Solar will complete project acceptance by the end of May this year, with full commissioning and production by the end of June.
According to reports, Dasun Solar's Anji intelligent manufacturing project plans to construct 4.8GW of high-efficiency HJT (heterojunction) cell and 7.2GW of fully automated intelligent module production lines. The project will be built in two phases, utilizing fully automated intelligent photovoltaic production equipment to meet the requirements for various advanced processes and technologies. The total investment is 4.7 billion RMB.
Information shows that Dasun Solar was established in September 2023, focusing on the R&D and manufacturing of heterojunction and perovskite/heterojunction tandem technologies. It aims to provide highly efficient, reliable, and cost-effective solar photovoltaic cells and modules to the global market, along with comprehensive solutions covering the entire lifecycle of PV power plants.
In November 2023, the Dasun Solar Intelligent Manufacturing Base project officially signed an agreement with the Anji Economic Development Zone in Zhejiang. In February 2024, Dasun Solar and Maiwei Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony for a HJT cell equipment procurement contract. According to the agreement, Dasun Solar will purchase 1.2GW of high-efficiency crystalline silicon heterojunction cell integrated production line equipment from Maiwei Co., Ltd. for the first phase of its Anji HJT cell manufacturing project in Zhejiang.
In July 2024, Dasun Solar signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with listed companies Letong Co., Ltd. and Dongfang Jiangxia Industrial Investment. They plan to jointly establish a research institute in Anji, focusing on the R&D of perovskite/HJT tandem cell technology and broader cooperation in the Solar sector.
On February 20, 2025, listed company Letong Co., Ltd. stated in response to an investor question that the company currently holds a 12.5% equity stake in the joint venture Dasun Solar, while the controlling shareholder Dasun Asset holds 35.5%. According to the agreement, the company has the right to acquire an additional 30.5% equity from Dasun Asset at "original price plus reasonable interest" after the Dasun Solar project is put into operation and sales stabilize, at which point it will consolidate Dasun Solar.
