Shandong 3GW PV cell project update!

On May 13, the first core process equipment arrived at the 3GW high-efficiency photovoltaic cell intelligent manufacturing project of CECEP Solar Energy Technology (Linyi) Co., Ltd.

It is reported that CECEP Solar Energy's 3GW annual production high-efficiency cell intelligent manufacturing project is located in the Economic Development Zone of Pingyi County, Shandong Province, east of Banqiao Road and south of Huangjin Road. The project has a total investment of 1 billion yuan and will purchase 141 sets of process equipment in total, adopting the TOPCon cell production process.

The project will be implemented in phases (meaning phased equipment acquisition, not phased construction and commissioning of the project), and will form a production scale with an annual output of 3GW of TOPCon cells when fully completed. (Calculated, the total cell is 272,133,527,000 pieces).

According to the environmental impact report released on March 6, 2025, the project completed its project approval and filing on April 30, 2024, and is scheduled to start commissioning production in July 2025.

Data shows that CECEP Solar Energy Technology (Linyi) Co., Ltd. is a holding subsidiary of CECEP Solar Energy Co., Ltd.

Since its establishment on December 11, 2023, the company currently has one under-construction project: the "CECEP Solar Energy 5GW Annual Production High-Efficiency Module Intelligent Manufacturing Project (Phase I)". This project was approved on January 9, 2025 and is currently in the construction phase.

It is understood that the raw material battery chips used in Phase I of this project are purchased externally. In order to reduce costs, accelerate the diversified development of enterprise products, and improve the enterprise product chain, the company is constructing the "CECEP Solar Energy 3GW Annual Production High-Efficiency Cell Intelligent Manufacturing Project" as planned.
