2026-11-02 14:23

Citing reports dated October 29, Xingkeyuan, an ultra-fine nano-silicon material enterprise, has secured a PreA round financing worth over 100 million yuan. The round was led by Hony Capital, with participation from Xiamen Tungsten Industrial Fund and Yibin Talent Fund. Cloud Road Capital acts as its long-term exclusive financial advisor. Proceeds will be primarily allocated to capacity expansion, equipment and facility construction, team building, R&D, and market development.

Commenting on the investment, Hony Capital stated that it is bullish on opportunities for silicon-based anode materials driven by the advancement of solid-state batteries. It believes Xingkeyuan has built competitive strengths in ultra-fine nano-silicon synthesis, customer customization and large-scale manufacturing. Xiamen Tungsten Industrial Fund noted that Xingkeyuan’s industrialization capability for ultra-fine nano-silicon is complementary to its own expertise in lithium cathode material R&D, mass production and downstream applications.

Founded in 2022, Xingkeyuan mainly focuses on nano-silicon materials for next-generation solid-state batteries, while also developing silicon-based optoelectronic materials for AI chips. The firm independently develops chemical vapor deposition (CVD) equipment and ultra-fine nano-silicon feedstock, and carries out surface modification, secondary granulation and customized application solutions for customers. In addition, Xingkeyuan has adopted AI for Science (AI4S) in its material R&D and manufacturing workflows.

In terms of technology and production capacity, Xingkeyuan can stably produce ultra-fine nano-silicon particles smaller than 30 nm with controllable particle size. According to media reports, its new plant in Qiantang District, Hangzhou, went fully operational on May 20 this year, lifting capacity from the kilogram and tonne scale to the hundred-tonne level. The company is currently advancing qualification validation with leading customers and ramping up its hundred-tonne production line. Some domestic projects have moved from the certification phase to preparation for batch delivery.

On customer development, Xingkeyuan has established a business layout covering certification and onboarding with domestic solid-state battery clients, product expansion for liquid battery systems, and joint development with industrial partners in Japan, South Korea and North America. Its customer roster includes CATL, BYD, GAC, BTR and Kaijin, per media reports.

Beyond battery materials, Xingkeyuan is also developing nano-silicon materials required for silicon-based optoelectronic devices in AI chips to explore applications in the optoelectronics sector and foster new growth drivers.
