According to Wechat Official Account @Pocket_Solar_1992, on May 6th, the Ecology and Environment Bureau of the Yibin High-tech Industrial Park Management Committee in Sichuan Province issued a public notice regarding the proposed approval of the environmental impact assessment document for Sichuan Gokin Solar's expansion project of an annual 2GW high-efficiency module intelligent manufacturing facility.

The public notice indicates that the project is located in Xuzhou District, Yibin City, Sichuan Province (Yibin High-tech Industrial Park), and the construction entity is Sichuan Gokin Solar Energy Technology Co., Ltd.

This project is an expansion with a total investment of 500 million RMB, including an environmental protection investment of 1.8 million RMB. It involves the construction of a high-efficiency module production workshop and supporting facilities (equipped with one Topcon production line and one BC production line each) and a general warehouse. Upon completion, it will create an additional annual production capacity of 1GW of N-type TOPCon (single glass 72P) and 1GW of BC (single glass 78P) high-efficiency photovoltaic modules.

The project's environmental impact assessment report reveals that in 2022, Sichuan Gokin Solar Energy Technology Co., Ltd. initiated the "annual production of 25GW monocrystalline silicon rods and 25GW monocrystalline silicon wafers Phase I project." This project has a total investment of 13 billion RMB and is currently operational.

In 2024, Sichuan Gokin plans to invest 3 billion RMB to construct the "Sichuan Gokin Phase I expansion project with an annual output of 13GW of monocrystalline silicon rods" in the reserved vacant workshop within the existing plant area, and this project is currently under construction.

Driven by continuous market demand expansion, and to further improve the utilization rate of the existing plant area, strengthen downstream product research and development and production capabilities, and enhance the company's market competitiveness, Sichuan Gokin Solar Energy Technology Co., Ltd. intends to invest 500 million RMB to implement the "Sichuan Gokin expansion project of an annual 2GW high-efficiency module intelligent manufacturing facility." The main construction content includes a high-efficiency module production workshop and supporting facilities (equipped with one TOPCon production line and one BC production line each) and a general warehouse.
