On October 8, the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Ecological Environment approved the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report for the high-efficiency photovoltaic (PV) module revamping project at Module Workshop No. 101 of Guangzhou Gokin Solar Technology Co., Ltd. With a total investment of 120 million yuan, the project is expected to reach an annual production capacity of 27.826 million high-efficiency PV modules upon completion of the revamping.

According to the approval document, the project is located at No. 2 (Self-Designated), Hejin Avenue, Auto Industry Base, Huadu District, Guangzhou, requiring no additional land acquisition. The existing facility covers a total land area of approximately 266,500 square meters and a total floor area of about 213,000 square meters. This revamping specifically targets Module Workshop No. 101, with a designated environmental protection investment of 1.6 million yuan.

In terms of product structure, the revamped project is planned to achieve an annual production capacity of 12.5217 million N-type TOPCon single-glass 72-cell modules, 1.3913 million N-type BC single-glass 72-cell modules, 8.3478 million N-type TOPCon double-glass 72-cell modules, and 5.5652 million N-type BC double-glass 72-cell modules.

Among these, the N-type BC single-glass and double-glass 72-cell modules total 6.9565 million units, representing approximately 25% of the total planned annual output.

This capacity structure indicates that while Gokin Solar is consolidating its TOPCon manufacturing capacity, it is actively accelerating the large-scale mass production and commercial deployment of high-efficiency BC technology.
