It is reported that TP Solar Ltd, a subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd, has commissioned a 2GW solar cell production line in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, and announced plans to add another 2GW of cell capacity in the next 4 to 6 weeks.
TP Solar stated that the plant became operational in October 2023, and to date, the total solar cell and module capacity of the facility is 4.3GW, equipped with advanced TOPCon and monocrystalline PERC technology.
