AsiaSolar PV & CSP Exhibition and Forum, hosted by China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME) Solar & Photovoltaic Products Branch, National Alliance for Solar Thermal Energy, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Pudong Sub Council, undertook by Shanghai Aiexpo, convoked in Shanghai New International Expo Center on Oct. 28th-30th. The theme of the forum was “Resource Integration, Industry Standardization, Market Optimization". The National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Industry and Commerce and other related personnel attended the exhibition and made speeches, many representatives from local associations, electric investment enterprises and companies came and communicated together. This exhibition attracted many famous enterprises from home and abroad such as Trina Solar, Canadian Solar, Jetion, China Triumph International Engineering, JCS Solar, Astronergy, Xinte Energy, Zhejiang Jinggong, East Wafer, Goodwe, Enpower Energy, Xiangdian Electric Manufacturing, Taiwanglass Group, Huiyin Group, China Huadian Group, Abengoa Solar, Schott CSP, FlabegGmbH, etc. Almost exhibitors felt satisfied with the effect of the exhibition.
In the recent two years, Chinese PV industry encountered the global financial crisis, "Double-Anti Policy” from Europe and America and excess production capacity. However, China government adopted positive coping style to the "Double-Anti Policy" and try to expand the domestic market. At the same time, the enterprises in PV industry also tried to get through the winter of PV industry. We had enough reason to believe that the PV industry would come back to the path of benign development as long as we could integrate resources and standardize operations. In the conference, Mr. Sun Guangbing, general secretary of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME) Solar & Photovoltaic Products Branch, made a speech focus on the influence from the changes of the global economy to the import and export of PV cells. Mr. Wang Bohua, general secretary of China Photovoltaic Industry Alliance, analyzed the development situation of PV industry, Doc. Zhao Yonghong, secretary general of Zhejiang Photovoltaic Technology Innovation Strategy Alliance, made a special report about the different innovative development road of PV industry.
Solar-thermal power generation in China started relatively late. With more and more attention paied in the renewable energy by the government, CSP industry developed rapidly. The strategic situation solar power generation is becoming more and more important. The new released “12th five-year Plan" emphasized the development the renewable energy industry including the solar heat utilization, PV and CSP. In the conference, Mr. Tian Li, deputy president of National Solar Thermal Alliance, made a speech on the technological development of Chinese CSP. Abengoa Solar, Schott CSP and any other CSP enterprises also analyzed market prospect of Chinese CSP industry from different perspectives.
Successfully being held for 8 times, AsiaSolar has attracted over 2,000 exhibitors, trade visitors up to 200,000. The concurrent AsiaSolar Photovoltaic Industry Forum successfully invited about 300 related governmental officials, industry experts to make speeches with topics referring to technology, market and policy.
AsiaSolar has been considered as one of the world famous solar energy PV industry exhibitions and has made great contribution to the development of solar PV industry in China, Asia and even the world.
