Wuhan Solid-State Battery Separator Material Enterprise Secures Angel Round Financing
2026-10-13 14:25

Recently, Wuhan Yuanqi Membrane Innovation New Materials Co., Ltd. (Yuanqi Membrane Innovation) completed an angel round of financing, exclusively backed by the Spark Seedling Fund under Wuhan Innovation Investment Group.

The proceeds from this round will primarily be used for technological iterations of core membrane materials, optimization of manufacturing processes, and the construction of a pilot-scale production line, accelerating the R&D and commercialization of the relevant materials.

Founded in February 2026 and headquartered in Jiangxia District, Wuhan, Yuanqi Membrane Innovation specializes in the R&D and manufacturing of solid-state battery separator materials. The company has applied for and been granted more than 10 patents for its independently developed nanofiber-based solid-state electrolyte membranes.

At present, Yuanqi Membrane Innovation's nanofiber composite separators can be applied to fields including supercapacitors and high-power batteries, catering to target markets such as new energy vehicles (NEVs), the low-altitude economy, intelligent robotics, and high-end energy storage.

In addition to Yuanqi Membrane Innovation, several other enterprises developing solid-state battery separators and electrolyte materials have also secured financing recently.

In August 2026, Shaanxi Ruizhi New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (Renergy Tech) completed a Pre-A+ financing round of tens of millions of yuan, exclusively invested by the Shanghai Chenyao Yichuang Investment Fund. Jointly established by Shanghai Technology Venture Capital (Group) Co., Ltd. (Shanghai Sci-Tech Innovation Group) and Yixing Economic Development Zone Investment and Development Group, the fund's capital will be allocated toward constructing the Yixing industrial base, upgrading intelligent production lines, expanding capacity, and optimizing processes.

Founded in 2021, Ruizhi New Energy primarily focuses on the R&D of lithium battery interface coating materials and solid-state electrolyte materials. Its product lineup features active functional separators, quasi- and all-solid-state electrolyte membranes, and lithium replenishment membranes. Among these, the active functional separators have already achieved mass production, while the quasi- and all-solid-state electrolyte membranes have completed testing and validation across multiple battery manufacturers.
