According to EnergyTrend, a wave of photovoltaic orders has emerged across the global market recently. Leading PV manufacturers including LONGi, Aiko and Waaree have sealed overseas partnerships, won major solar-storage EPC bids and secured large-scale module supply contracts, with a combined cooperation volume exceeding 2.4GW.
LONGi Signs Module Cooperation Deal with South Korean Enterprise
On June 18, LONGi Green Energy formally inked a cooperation agreement with South Korea’s SG Energy. Centered around LONGi ColorTile BIPV products, the two parties will jointly push forward product certification, demonstration project construction and sales channel development in the South Korean market.
Driven by LONGi’s South Korean team, the agreement outlines plans to expedite KS certification for LONGi’s products, roll out the first batch of demonstration projects at an accelerated pace, and build a sales network covering high-end commercial buildings and public facilities.
SG Energy ranks among South Korea’s top enterprises in the building-integrated photovoltaics sector. LONGi ColorTile, dubbed "power-generating color building materials", breaks the limitations of monotonous colors and fixed dimensions seen in conventional PV products. Flexible for building facades, sunshades and rooftops, the product caters well to South Korea’s local PV market demands.
Aiko Wins 1.2GW Utility-Scale PV Project Tender in Egypt
On June 18, Aiko announced it had recently secured a major utility-scale PV tender in Egypt, emerging as the exclusive module supplier for Nefer Menya PV Plant — Egypt’s single largest 1.2GW utility-scale project, and will supply its ABC high-efficiency modules for the scheme.
Located in Minya Governorate, the Nefer Menya project features a planned PV capacity of 1.2GW paired with a 600MW battery energy storage system. Developed by Infinity Power, Africa’s largest renewable energy developer, and financially backed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the scheme stands as a landmark initiative under Egypt’s national renewable energy strategy.
Aiko’s overseas utility-scale business has witnessed robust growth since 2024, when it signed supply contracts for multiple large ground-mount PV stations in Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina and other regions. In H1 2026, the firm has consecutively landed massive overseas utility-scale projects in France, Finland, the Czech Republic and Egypt.
Domestically, Aiko has also prevailed in centralized procurement tenders launched by major central SOEs including Jingneng Power, PowerChina and Huadian. On June 15, Aiko commenced deliveries of its ABC high-efficiency modules for the 400MW PV project owned by Huadian in Ningwu County, Shanxi Province. The plant boasts a total DC-side capacity of 480.3149MWp and an AC-side installed capacity of 400MW. Per the site design, the entire facility will deploy Aiko’s 650Wp bifacial double-glass ABC modules.
Waaree Secures 800MW Large-Scale Module Order
As reported by foreign PV media SolarQuarter on June 15, Waaree Energies Limited, India’s leading PV module maker, has locked in an 800MW photovoltaic module supply contract.
Waaree disclosed the deal via a regulatory filing, stating full deliveries will be completed throughout India’s fiscal years 2026 and 2027. All modules covered under the order will be deployed for domestic Indian PV projects, while Waaree has not released any details regarding the unnamed client.
