Over 17GWh! Energy Storage Orders Keep Pouring in for Hyperstrong, Trina Storage, and CALB
2026-03-12 14:52

Recently, leading energy storage companies have successively secured GWh-level large orders, making significant strides in both domestic and overseas markets. Among them, Hyperstrong and Trina Storage are accelerating their deep cultivation of the European market, securing large energy storage project orders exceeding 1.2GW and 6GWh, respectively. Meanwhile, CALB (China Aviation Lithium Battery) is focusing its efforts on the domestic market, locking in a long-term procurement contract of over 10GWh with Xinjuneng (New Giant Energy).

Hyperstrong Secures Over 1.2GW of Energy Storage Orders Across Multiple European Countries

Recently, Hyperstrong has made significant progress in the European energy storage market, successively signing multiple energy storage project orders across regions including Germany, the Baltics, Central and Eastern Europe, as well as Northern and Southern Europe. To date, the company's European business footprint has expanded to 15 countries, with projects covering diversified application scenarios such as grid-side, renewable energy pairing, and commercial and industrial (C&I) sectors.

German Market: Following the Waltershausen project, Hyperstrong has newly signed a 40MWh grid-side project in Wertheim. Simultaneously, it secured the 40MWh Görlsdorf Phase II solar-plus-storage project, complete with a 15-year operation and maintenance (O&M) service agreement. Previously, Hyperstrong had already signed a 1.6GWh large-scale energy storage project order with the German company LEAG.

Baltic Region: Following the implementation of its Estonian project, the company recently signed a 60MWh wind-plus-storage project in Lithuania and a 200MWh energy storage project with the Latvian national grid, achieving comprehensive coverage across all three Baltic states.

Central, Eastern Europe, and the Balkans: In Bulgaria, two 100MWh energy storage projects were signed for peak-valley arbitrage and frequency regulation services, achieving a breakthrough for hundred-megawatt-hour-level projects in this region. In Hungary, the company signed its debut project—the 140MWh Tapolca Phase I solar-plus-storage project. Furthermore, it successively landed its first 12.5MWh large-scale storage project and multiple C&I outdoor cabinet projects in Croatia and Slovenia.

Northern and Southern Europe: In Southern Europe, the company secured its first 10MWh energy storage project order in Italy. In Northern Europe, it newly signed a 525MWh project in Finland, pushing its cumulative total project capacity in Finland past 1.2GWh.

CALB Lands Over 10GWh Energy Storage Mega-Order from Xinjuneng

Recently, CALB officially signed a cooperation agreement with Guangdong Xinjuneng Energy Technology Co., Ltd. According to the agreement, between January 1, 2026, and December 31, 2027, CALB will supply 392Ah battery cells and DC-side equipment to Xinjuneng, with a cumulative order scale of no less than 10GWh.

Through this cooperation, both parties will heavily focus on the commercial implementation and scaled development of C&I energy storage and independent energy storage projects. Regarding core equipment selection, both parties explicitly agreed to adopt CALB's 392Ah cells. These cells inherit a mature electrochemical system, featuring high energy density and unified standard specifications. While ensuring high safety, they can significantly enhance system integration, remain highly adaptable to existing production lines, and enable rapid, large-scale mass production.

Trina Storage Exceeds 6GWh in 2026 Contracted Orders for Europe

Driven by the dual demands of energy security and power system flexibility, the European energy storage market is entering a new phase of development. According to internal company statistics, Trina Storage's contracted order scale in the European region for 2026 has already exceeded 6GWh. This is a significant increase from previous expectations, and the proportion of shipments to the European market in 2026 is projected to rise further.

In terms of large-scale grid-side energy storage, Trina Storage's European business footprint has expanded to over ten countries, including the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Portugal. Concurrently, the company is accelerating its multi-scenario layout for C&I and residential energy storage, with its products gradually entering core markets such as Germany, Italy, and Japan.
