EnergyTrend has learned that leading domestic lithium battery and energy storage enterprises have recently been highly active. Following the establishment of new energy companies by firms such as Sungrow and TCL Zhonghuan, CATL and CALB have also completed the registration of new companies, further strengthening their presence in battery manufacturing and energy storage.
CATL Establishes Two 2-Billion-Yuan Wholly-Owned Subsidiaries in Quanzhou and Suzhou
According to Qichacha, Quanzhou Contemporary Amperex Technology Limited was officially established on March 5, with Chen Weifeng as the legal representative and a registered capital of RMB 2 billion. The new company’s business scope includes new material technology promotion services, battery manufacturing and sales, manufacturing and sales of specialized electronic materials, technical services, and the import and export of goods.
On the same day, Suzhou Contemporary Amperex Technology Limited was incorporated with Chen Ling as the legal representative. It also has a registered capital of RMB 2 billion and a business scope identical to that of the Quanzhou entity.
Both new companies are wholly owned by CATL. The launch of these two new entities marks a further acceleration of CATL’s industrial layout in Quanzhou, Fujian, and Suzhou, Jiangsu.
CALB Establishes Two New Energy Storage Companies in Jiangmen
On March 3, Jiangmen Kaibo Energy Storage Co., Ltd. was established with a registered capital of RMB 10 million. It is 100% owned by CALB Smart Energy Technology Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of CALB, and primarily focuses on energy storage equipment manufacturing.
The day after its inception, this new company established a wholly-owned subsidiary, Heshan Kaibo Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd., also with a registered capital of RMB 10 million. Liu Junling serves as the legal representative for both companies.
The business scope of the two companies covers energy storage technical services, technology development, sales of intelligent power transmission and distribution and control equipment, engineering management services, battery sales, as well as power generation, transmission, and supply businesses. This move further completes CALB’s energy storage business chain in the South China region.
