Recently, Dynanonic, a leading player in the lithium iron phosphate (LFP) sector, announced the development of its fifth-generation high-performance LFP material.
According to the company’s Investor Relations Activity Record released on September 2, Dynanonic is focusing on accelerating product iteration and mass-production adoption. Its fourth-generation high-tap-density LFP product continues to gain market recognition, with shipment volume and share steadily increasing, now accounting for about 20%–30% of the company’s product mix.
At the same time, Dynanonic has successfully developed its fifth-generation high-performance LFP material, featuring outstanding core performance indicators. The powder tap density reaches 2.70–2.75 g/cm³, while electrode compaction density exceeds 2.75 g/cm³. Suitable for both power and energy storage applications, the product has already entered pilot-scale production.
Dynanonic, a national high-tech enterprise, specializes in the R&D, production, and sales of core lithium-ion battery materials. Its main product lines include nano LFP, lithium manganese iron phosphate (LMFP), and lithium-replenishing additives. Notably, the company’s proprietary, internationally leading “self-heating evaporation liquid-phase synthesis” method for nano LFP delivers long cycle life, high safety, low cost, and environmental benefits. The company’s total LFP capacity has reached 265,000 tons per year.
Beyond LFP, Dynanonic is also a key driver of LMFP commercialization, leading the industry in both capacity and technology. Its first-generation LMFP product has already been adopted in vehicles, while second-generation products with enhanced performance are progressing smoothly through validation. To date, the company has built 110,000 tons per year of LMFP capacity—the largest completed LMFP capacity in the industry.
In addition, its lithium-replenishing additive business is gaining traction, with more projects securing exclusive designation. Deliveries have begun in applications such as fast-charging batteries, long-cycle-life energy storage, and semi-solid-state batteries.
Dynanonic also released its financial results for the first half of 2025. Revenue reached RMB 3.882 billion, down 10.58% year-on-year, while net loss attributable to shareholders narrowed to RMB -391 million, a 24.24% improvement. Excluding non-recurring items, net loss was RMB -429 million, up 19.80% year-on-year. Despite a slight revenue decline, the sharp narrowing of losses indicates improving profitability.
On the product side, phosphate-based cathode materials remained the company’s primary revenue driver, contributing over 94% of total sales. Production and sales both increased, with output reaching 125,300 tons, up 8.51% year-on-year, and sales of 122,400 tons, up 15.78% year-on-year. Capacity utilization stood at 83.73%, among the highest in the industry.
In August, during the 2025 Solid-State Battery Roadshow, Dynanonic representatives noted that the overall lithium battery market is showing signs of recovery this year, with shipments increasing significantly. Accordingly, the company expects its own shipment growth to remain strong throughout the year.
