On July 14, the groundbreaking ceremony of Jiangxi Xinguan 400MW/800MWh Independent Energy Storage Power Station Project was held at the construction site of the project in Dupai Village, Lijiang Town, Xinguan County, Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province, marking that Central China's largest grid-side independent shared energy storage project has entered into the substantive construction stage, and it has become the first demonstration project to start construction in the First Batch of Provincial Independent Energy Storage Pilot Demonstration Projects of Jiangxi Province.

The project is invested in and built by Zhonghong Puneng, and undertaken by Xingan Feichi New Energy Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Zhonghong Puneng. It adopts high-safety lithium iron phosphate batteries and is equipped with the province's first integrated system of "new energy + energy storage + digital management and control", with a charge-discharge efficiency exceeding 92%. Equivalent to creating an 800,000-kilowatt-hour "super power bank", it can increase the new energy absorption capacity of Ji'an by 15%, reduce carbon emissions by 156,000 tons per year, which is equivalent to planting a million forests in Xingan. The total planned investment of the project is 1.28 billion yuan. During the construction period, it will create 500 jobs. After putting into operation, the annual output value will exceed 100 million yuan, and the total tax contribution throughout the whole cycle will reach 250 million yuan, helping the old revolutionary base areas to achieve green development.
