Ganfeng Lithium Partners with Hangzhou State-Owned Assets to Build High-Energy Solid-State Battery R&D and Industrialization Base

According to BJX.COM, on the evening of April 26th, Ganfeng Lithium released an announcement stating that the company plans to invest in the construction of a high-energy solid-state battery R&D and industrialization base in Gongshu District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.

Ganfeng Lithium, the Gongshu District People's Government of Hangzhou City (hereinafter referred to as "Gongshu District Government"), and Hangzhou Energy Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Hangzhou Energy") respectively signed the "Framework Cooperation Agreement" and the "Strategic Cooperation Agreement." The three parties will leverage their respective advantages to achieve resource complementarity and comprehensively carry out industrial cultivation and long-term development cooperation, establishing a win-win long-term strategic cooperative development relationship. It is agreed that the company plans to invest in the construction of a high-energy solid-state battery R&D and industrialization base in Gongshu District, Hangzhou, focusing on cooperation in areas such as transportation electrification, new energy industry expansion, energy supply chain broadening, and comprehensive recycling of power batteries.

According to the agreements, the three parties will cooperate in areas such as government-enterprise services, industrial innovation, and site security. Among them, the Gongshu District Government will create a favorable business environment, provide high-quality services, and support Ganfeng Lithium in growing and strengthening its industry. Hangzhou Energy will leverage its new energy industry resource advantages and application scenarios, and will be responsible for the construction and maintenance of site space to support the sustainable development of Ganfeng Lithium. Subsequently, Ganfeng Lithium will establish a new company in Gongshu District, Hangzhou, which will be the main entity for the investment and construction of the high-energy solid-state battery project.

Ganfeng Lithium stated that the signing of the aforementioned agreements will be beneficial to improving the company's industrial chain and is in line with its upstream and downstream integration development strategy. It is expected that the agreements will not have a significant impact on the company's current financial status and operating results.
