According to media reports, Runyang Co., Ltd.'s 13GW high-efficiency N-type solar cell facility in Qujing, Yunnan, resumed full production operations on October 15, 2024. Currently, the company holds a substantial backlog of orders. Prior to this restart, Runyang completed a three-month overhaul of mechanical equipment, upgraded power supply systems, and implemented technological improvements. Supported strongly by its major shareholder, Yueda Group, Runyang plans to systematically resume production at its cost-advantaged cell production facilities.
Reports indicate that the Qujing Runyang 13GW N-type high-efficiency solar cell green smart factory project, developed by Yunnan Runyang Century Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd., spans an area of approximately 468 acres. The project was announced on January 28, 2023, commenced production in July 2023, and achieved operational status at that time. According to Runyang’s official website, by the end of 2023, Runyang had an installed high-efficiency cell capacity of 63GW and a planned module capacity of 23GW globally. Currently, Runyang’s production facilities include: the Shizuishan polysilicon production base in Ningxia, the Yancheng Runyang cell production base, the Jianhu ultra-high efficiency cell production base, the Yancheng Haiborui module production base, the Thailand cell and module production base, and the Qujing ultra-high efficiency cell production base in Yunnan.
