Q-SUN Solar, a global one-stop provider of zero-carbon new energy solutions, and Bakarat Investment, a renowned renewable energy company in Oman, recently announced the construction of an advanced PV module and cell production facility in the Sohar Free Zone in Oman. The facility will have an 8GW capacity for PV modules and a 2GW capacity for PV cells, covering TOPCON and HJT technology routes. This initiative marks a deep cooperation between the two companies in the field of renewable energy and will propel Oman to a leading position in the global renewable energy market.

Oman, located in West Asia, has a strategic geographical advantage, situated on the southeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula, facing the Indian Ocean. It boasts numerous large seaports, a young workforce with good higher education and a strong acceptance of new technologies, a favorable business environment, vast land, abundant solar resources, and rich oil and gas reserves. These factors provide excellent preconditions for this collaboration. From an industry perspective, the Middle East's PV market reached 20.5-23.6GW in 2023 and is expected to expand to 29-35GW by 2027, offering vast prospects and tremendous opportunities for PV enterprises.

Q-SUN Solar, a photovoltaic technology company founded in 2014, has earned the trust of nearly one million users in over 50 countries with its outstanding performance in PV module research, development, production, and sales, as well as its active layout in the energy storage sector in recent years. Its N-type high-efficiency full-black 450W modules are hot sellers in the European market, and the N-type high-efficiency high-power 620W and 710W modules have become star products for commercial and industrial and large ground projects worldwide. The company has branches in the United States, Germany, Singapore, and other locations, with business covering multiple regions globally. This cooperation not only actively responds to the demand of the Omani PV market but also aligns with the company's global development strategy.

Bakarat Investment is a leader in the renewable energy sector in Oman, with extensive expertise and a strong project portfolio. Its projects cover renewable energy, advanced medical laboratories, and youth education programs. This collaboration not only enhances Bakarat Investment's capabilities in the renewable energy field but also aligns with Oman's national policy, "Vision 2040," which promotes local manufacturing and the transformation of regional and international renewable energy.

"Q-SUN Solar's collaboration is a significant milestone for Oman's renewable energy sector," said Ahmed bin Saud Al Salmi, CEO of Bakarat Investment. "It demonstrates our commitment to introducing cutting-edge technology, supporting the goals of 'Vision 2040' with concrete actions, and promoting economic growth through job creation and technological advancement. This collaboration, driven together with our sister company GUtech, will establish the plant as a professional platform for new energy training and research, nurturing future industry leaders and innovators, a great cause that will benefit generations of Omanis."

Qin Wenming, Chairman of Q-SUN Solar, stated, "Q-SUN Solar's investment in Oman reflects our determination and commitment to driving the global PV industry through innovation and strategic partnerships. This cooperation with Bakarat Investment not only supports Oman's renewable energy transition goals but also represents an important layout in our sustainable energy development strategy for the Middle East and other regions. Establishing an advanced PV module and cell facility in Oman enhances local manufacturing capabilities, promotes knowledge transfer by involving local youth, and spreads the craftsmanship and spirit of Chinese manufacturing to every corner of the world. We also hope that this cooperation will position Oman on the global stage of renewable energy production, driving a new energy development pattern in the Middle East and contributing to the global zero-carbon cause."
