TCA’s Vehicle Charger Brand BEGIN Launches Its First Smart Charging Station in Australia
2023-03-16 15:04

As the first step towards the global market, Taiwan Carbon Assets’ (TCA) smart charging brand BEGIN partnered with Australia-based OAK Energy to hold an inauguration ceremony of smart chargers in Hope Island Marketplace, a destination in Gold Coast, Australia. This milestone demonstrated that the vehicle charging company has expanded its services overseas.

Te-an Liu, general manager at TCA, emphasized that the company will indeed participate in the global campaign for net-zero emissions. It provides sustainable services for businesses and helps them achieve digital and energy transformation as well as develop ESG strategies. TCA also offers green energy supply for businesses, ESG consultation, and solutions for energy storage and international carbon rights, allowing customers to achieve net-zero emissions through one-stop services.

Liu indicated that 2023 will be a critical year for TCA to expand its oversea services. In addition to Australia—the first stop for global market development—the company plans to set up chargers across Southeast Asia, namely Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. Moreover, the charger maker will attend an energy event held in Munich, Germany in June this year, revealing its determination to enter the European market. TCA has become one of the few Taiwanese businesses focusing on green tech services globally.

As one of the world’s largest exporters of minerals, agricultural commodities and livestock commodities, Australia has pledged to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 43% by 2030 and achieve net zero emissions by 2050. The construction of its first charging station in Australia has proved that TCA has been recognized by the international community regarding digital and technological competence.

In January this year, Hua Nan Financial Holdings signed a green energy procurement deal with TCA, while BEGIN built smart chargers at low-carbon tourist destinations across Sun Moon Lake (e.g., Xiang Mountain, Puli, and Ita Thao) and Lavender Cottage. BEGIN plans to build a total of 100 charging stations in Taiwan in 2023 and expand its eco-friendly, net-zero charging services to Southeast Asia and Europe.
