2022-06-01 9:30

At a recent virtual investors meeting, DMEGC stated that shipments of its PV cells and modules came to 2.4GW for 2021. Local Chinese news outlets were the first to cover this event.

As reported by Chinese news outlets, approximately one-third of its cells and 90% of its modules were exported to overseas markets in 2021. Turning to 2022, the company has set the target of 5GW for module shipments. Of that amount, 4GW is targeted for export. As for cells, the company has set the shipment target of 3GW or more. The company also noted that order visibility is fairly high for its PV products.

Regarding DMEGC’s lithium battery business, the company stated that profitability depends on the movements of prices of upstream materials. Price drops or significant price fluctuations will have noticeable effects. Currently, the profitability of the lithium battery business is somewhat healthy with the net profit reaching around 10%. The company expects to keep profitability at a constant level in 2Q22. As for this entire year, revenue growth will outpace profit growth.
