The advanced course is designed for senior-level staff and decision makers to gain an in-depth understanding of the current markets, structures and players related to renewable energy project finance and investment.

Infocast’s Advanced Renewable Energy Finance & Investment course, set for October 17-18, 2017 in Denver, Colorado, will take participants through the stages of financing a renewable energy project, while explaining the critical issues and lessons learned from the vantage points of the lender, the borrower and the investor.

The course will be led by a team of four professionals with a combined 90 years of experience in the renewable energy finance and investment sector, covering billions of dollars in transactions.

Topics that will be covered at the course include project finance modeling and analysis, case study for credit analysis, tax incentives in renewable financings and public policy and market outlook.

The long list of past course participants includes Wells Fargo, BNP Paribas, US Department of Energy, NextEra Energy and First Solar.

Additionally, attendees will get insights from our speakers Frank Shaw, Energy and Infrastructure Projects Counsel, and Sean Shimamoto, Tax Partner from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP. Shaw
and Shimamoto will provide useful tips on how to build and analyze financial models, understand contract structuring, documentation and risk-sharing and optimize finance for renewable energy projects.

“[The course was] very informative with a lot of expertise provided. The examples given were extremely relevant to the real world cases, which often do not have available resources for references,” said past attendee John Gann, Trina Solars US Inc.
