China’s first-tier PV manufacturer, JinkoSolar, announced to utilize front-side silver pastes produced by Heraeus for improving its multi-ci cells’ conversion efficiency by another 0.1%.
Heraeus is one of the world’s largest developer and manufacturer of silver metallization pastes for the PV industry and is devoting to developing conductive pastes that can effectively improve conversion efficiencies of PV cells. In 2016, Heraeus has introduces series of new-generation paste products along with pastes designed especially for PERC cells.
JinkoSolar selects Heraeus’ front-side silver pastes SOL9631J Series on multi-si cells to increase the conversion efficiency by more than 0.1%. The SOL9631J Series is a low-temperature paste product that has superior electrical conductivity and excellent fine-line printing technology, which enables a higher aspect ratio and better printability. Furthermore, SOL9631J is suitable for high-speed printing so it will help JinkoSolar ramp up production capacity of multi-si cells.
“Heraeus constantly innovates our products and technologies, including customized photovoltaic products and services for JinkoSolar, to enable its next generation of products to advance further,” said Andreas Liebheit, President Heraeus Photovoltaics. “We are convinced that this collaboration with our strategic partner JinkoSolar opens up new prospects for Heraeus’ customized products in the photovoltaic industry.”
JinkoSolar topped the world’s PV manufacturers by shipping 1,716MW of PV modules globally in the second quarter of 2016, and expected the annual module shipments would exceed 6GW.
“Jinko's vision and mission is to change the energy structure, and to assume responsibility for the future by providing integrated clean energy solutions,” commented JinkoSolar CEO Chen Kangping. “We aim to become a benchmark in our industry to help build a more sustainable future. We want to achieve this important goal together with Heraeus.”
