Tesla Model 3 Released! Price at $35,000

The mid-class car drivers have been waiting for a more affordable Tesla vehicle, and it comes! Tesla CEO Elon Musk officially released the Tesla Model 3 on March 31 in California, and the prices are set to start at US$35,000.

The 215-mile range vehicle is an important while bold product for Tesla. It is impossible for drivers to buy a better car for simply $35,000 by the end of 2017, claimed Musk at the release conference, and “it will be one of the safest cars in the world.”

It takes less than 6 seconds to do 0-60 mph, and all Model 3 cars will support Tesla’s high-speed Supercharging network.

The length of Tesla Model 3 will be approximately 20% shorter than Model S. Its major comparison in today’s market is GM’s Chevy Bolt, which will be able to travel greater than 200 miles at a price at around $30,000, after tax incentives.

Tesla claims that they have received more than 130,000 preorders by the very first day of the official release. Buyers only have to place $1,000 for preorder before launching their 18-month wait. Tesla schedules to start shipping Model 3 near the end of 2017.
