Hanwha Q CELLS and Sunrun secured their supply agreement for 2016. Q CELLS will triple its PV module supply to Sunrun, representing 135MW of module products.
The cells will be manufactured in Hanwha Q CELLS’ facility in Malaysia, while the module packaging will be completed in South Korea. The terms of the supply agreement involve in supplying the Q.PRO BFR-G4 and Q.PLUS BFR-G4 product lines, which uses high efficiency Q.ANTUM cell architecture. The Q.ANTUM cell features the world’s first commercialized multi c-Si PERC structure.
The PV modules will be installed for Sunrun’s residential customers. They will also be free from the anti-dumping and countervailing duties.
Mr. Justin Lee, President of Hanwha Q CELLS America said, "This agreement further solidifies and strengthens the relationship that Hanwha Q CELLS has with Sunrun. With Hanwha Q CELLS' demonstrated module quality and Sunrun's reach in the U.S. residential market, we are confident that this will further strengthen our position as one of the leading providers of solar modules."
