SunEdison Uses Solaria’s Technology to Make 400W PV Modules
2015-10-27 16:57

SunEdison has inked a deal to license Solaria for manufacturing its new line of ultra-high efficiency 400W solar modules, SunEdison ZERO WHITE SPACE™ solar module. Solaria’s manufacturing technology will accelerate the 400W solar module entering into the market.

“SunEdison’s solar materials team has completed the development of the new 400W SunEdison ZERO WHITE SPACE™ solar module,” said Bang Nguyen, SunEdison’s vice president of solar materials operations. “This architecture squeezes more electricity out of the module by reducing the amount of unproductive white space surrounding each cell.”

The new modules are SunEdison’s most efficient till now, and they are ideally suited for small-scale residential and commercial applications where space is limited. With Solaria’s highly automated manufacturing line and cost-and-efficiency management, the two companies are able to provide optimized solar solutions for rooftop and utility PV, BIPV and greenhouses.
