The European Photovoltaic Industry Association (EPIA) announced that it will unveil its annual report about PV market from 2014 to 2018 at this year’s Intersolar Europe trade fair, which will be held in Munich on June 2nd.
Titled “Global Market Outlook for Photovoltaics 2014-2018,” EPIA plans to evaluate detailed five-year forecasts through a comprehensive assessment of the development of Europe and global PV markets, analyzing the role of PV in the European energy sector and giving insightful trends for the industry. The report will mark the opening of the 2014 Intersolar Europe on June 2nd at 10 AM as a keynote conference and Oliver Schäfer, the President of EPIA, will be the speaker.
EPIA has figured 2013 as a record-setting year of PV installation as there were at least 37GW of new PV capacity installed globally, according to its annual report published in March. EPIA believes that the short-term development of global PV industry will be optimistic because demands from Asia and Europe remain strong. It also forecasts that Asia may take over the leading position of Europe on the basis of internationalization.
