T3 Motion Successfully Launches T3 Electric Vehicle into Film Production Industry at NAB Show
2012-04-24 15:13

T3 Motion, Inc., a producer of clean/green technology, announced the launch of the T3MT and T41 Trailer systems, designed to support and assist camera crews during the film production process. Both products were unveiled at the National Association of Broadcasters NAB Show in Las Vegas and will be marketed to the video production market.

"Few products on the market facilitate tracking camerawork from 0-15 miles per hour—tracking shots at low speeds can be arduous and difficult to manage. Our T3 Motion broadcasting products provide a tracking platform that allow for a uniquely clean and efficient production process, facilitating tracking shots without operator fatigue," stated T3 Motion Chief Technology Officer, Ki Nam.

The inspiration for the vehicle came from the film and video production industry itself, Nam said. T3 Motion innovators started asking questions of industry experts about portable camera uses, applications, and issues and discovered that current cameras are cumbersome to the point of limiting their effectiveness.

The T3MT and T41 Trailer technologies assist Steadicam™, Glidecam™ and other camera system operators to ride comfortably and safely with the camera attached to the vehicle itself rather than the operator, allowing for flawless content production and decreasing operator fatigue. The T41 Trailer eliminates the need for laying a track while filming. Additionally, the new platform will feature a seven-inch high-definition monitor with an anti-glare screen that will allow the camera operator to view the images while filming.

The basic T3MT and T41 Trailer packages will begin at $10,000. Camera system not included.
