The Taiwan based thin film manufacturer, NexPower Technology Corporation, has recently set a new mark for the silicon tandem technology in New Jersey by supplying modules to a 10MW ground mounted utility project, which is one of the largest for this technology within the area.
This month NexPower shipped out a total of 10MW of its thin film panels to be used for this project. The construction phase is scheduled to start soon in the second quarter. NexPower works with a local US partner, a real estate developer, not only for this project but a possible near future shipment for more projects in the US.
NexPower Xtreme+ Series
For the past few years NexPower has been trying to establish three major promotional channels for the US market: local distribution, commercial application and project usage. NexPower CEO Arthur Chou states “NexPower is not limiting itself to any good potential solar projects around the world, even when co-investment may be required.”
NexPower is known for its world leading large power 160W thin film panels and also the high performance of its panels, which were tested to recently finish as the world top three modules in the industry recognized Photon Module Test 2011. This summer NexPower is going to exhibit its latest technology in the upcoming Intersolar Europe in June, and followed by Intersolar North America in July.
