EnergyTrend has learned that momentum in PV market orders and project construction has continued to accelerate. Jinko Solar and TZE have both secured PV module orders, while a 170MW PV project constructed by Chint New Energy in New Zealand has been successfully connected to the grid.
Jinko Solar Wins Bid for 133.36MW Module Procurement Project
Recently, Jinko Solar won the bid for CHN Energy Hunan's 2026 (First Batch) PV Module Procurement Project. It will supply 133.36MW of high-efficiency PV modules for the Luzihu Fishery-Solar Hybrid Power Project and the Zhengyang (Yangqiao) Hybrid PV Power Project.
The Luzihu project is a fishery-solar hybrid initiative primarily constructed over pond waters, while the Zhengyang (Yangqiao) project is a hybrid PV project located mainly in low-mountain and hilly regions.
Jinko Solar will supply its Tiger Neo 3 series modules for the project to meet power generation demands across these diverse application scenarios.
TZE Wins Bid for Jingneng's Kubuqi Desert PV Project
Recently, TZE won the bid for the Kubuqi Desert Base PV Project owned by Inner Mongolia Jingneng Zhunqi New Energy Co., Ltd., supplying N-type BC (Back Contact) PV modules for the development.
Located in the Kubuqi Desert Base in Inner Mongolia, the project is part of China's national large-scale wind and solar base construction initiative in "deserts, Gobi, and wastelands," combining PV power generation with desertification control and ecological restoration.
TZE stated that the project will utilize its N-type BC technology product line to satisfy power generation efficiency and long-term operational demands under harsh desert conditions.
170MW New Zealand PV Project Built by Chint New Energy Connected to Grid
Recently, the New Zealand Kōwhai 170MWdc PV Project, constructed by Chint New Energy as the EPC general contractor, was successfully connected to the grid.
Located near Christchurch Airport, the project is currently one of the largest single-site PV power plants in New Zealand. Serving as the EPC contractor, Chint New Energy was responsible for the project's engineering design, procurement, and construction.
The project utilizes Astronergy's ASTRO N5 series PV modules. Ecological monitoring and vegetation protection measures were strictly implemented in accordance with local environmental regulations, achieving grid connection on schedule.
