EIA Publication for 10GWh Solid-State Battery Project
On August 5, the Dongtai Municipal People's Government published the full Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report for the 10GWh solid-state battery R&D and manufacturing project of Jiangsu Jiangsu Qingsong Guneng New Energy New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (Jiangsu Qingsong Guneng New Energy).
With a planned total investment of RMB 3 billion, the project is developed by Jiangsu Qingsong Guneng New Energy and located in the High-Tech Industrial Development Zone of Dongtai City, Yancheng, Jiangsu Province. Upon completion, it is expected to achieve an annual production capacity of 10GWh of solid-liquid hybrid and all-solid-state power batteries.
The project will be developed in three phases. Phase I, which is the subject of this EIA, involves an investment of RMB 300 million to build a 1GWh solid-state battery production line. Phase II involves an investment of RMB 1.2 billion to add a 4GWh solid-state battery line. Phase III involves an investment of RMB 1.5 billion to add a 5GWh solid-state battery line and a PACK integration line.
Public Announcement for 100,000-Ton Sodium-Ion Battery Cathode Material Project
On August 10, the Zhijin Branch of the Bijie Ecology and Environment Bureau in Guizhou Province issued the first public notice for the EIA of Phase I (Stage 1) of the 100,000 t/a Sodium-Ion Battery Cathode Material Production Base Project.
Located in the Zhijin Economic Development Zone of Bijie City, Guizhou Province, the project is developed by Guizhou Guizhou NaBang New Energy Co., Ltd. (Guizhou NaBang New Energy ). The total investment for Stage 1 of Phase I is RMB 108.3844 million, involving leased plant space to construct a new sodium-battery manufacturing facility (including a finished goods warehouse). Once completed, it will have an annual production capacity of 5,500 tons of polyanion-type sodium-ion battery cathode materials.
Progress Update on Jinzhou Kaimei Power's Energy Storage Project
On August 12, according to Jinzhou Release, new progress was made on the High-Specific-Energy Supercapacitor and Energy Storage System Integration Project developed by Jinzhou Jinzhou Kaimei Power Co., Ltd. (Jinzhou Kaimei Power). Construction began in May this year with a six-month build phase and is scheduled for official commissioning in December.
The project is planned in two phases, covering standardized supercapacitor production lines, PACK module lines, energy storage system integration lines, office buildings, and supporting facilities. Phase I has an estimated total investment of RMB 300 million, located in the New Energy Industrial Park, covering an area of 85.32 mu (approx. 5.69 hectares). It will include standardized workshops, warehouses, and substations.
Progress on Power and Energy Storage Lithium Battery Project in Chuanshan District
On August 7, according to Today's Chuanshan, at the construction site of the Power and Energy Storage Lithium Battery Project in Chuanshan District, the main structure of Workshop No. 3 has been completed, and production equipment is being delivered to the site.
Currently, 60% of the main steel structures for the 10 plant buildings have been completed, and the main structures of the shift dormitories and comprehensive building are fully finished. The exterior facade and steel structure work for Workshop No. 3 are completely done. The project is scheduled for completion and operation in June 2027, with a projected daily output of 6.5 million lithium batteries.
Shandong Jiaqiang Electric's New Energy Storage Cabinet & Power Distribution Cabinet Project
On August 11, Taian High-Tech Zone reported that the progress of Shandong Shandong Jiaqiang Electric Co., Ltd.'s (Shandong Jiaqiang Electric) New Energy Storage Cabinet and Power Distribution Cabinet Construction Project is steadily ahead of schedule. The main structure of Workshop No. 1 has been topped out, while the steel structure assembly for Workshop No. 2 is progressing rapidly.
The project mainly focuses on constructing production lines for new energy equipment such as energy storage cabinets and auxiliary power supplies. Once operational, it will establish a modern production base integrating intelligent manufacturing, technological R&D, and complete system delivery, enabling the company to tap deeper into the commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage market through integrated production advantages.
