New developments emerge from seven enterprises including Envision Energy, Trina Solar, Hithium, Orient International, StarCharge, AlphaESS and Wolong Energy Storage, covering newly signed energy storage orders, grid connection and commissioning of energy storage stations and other milestones.

Envision Energy to Supply 1,600 MWh Energy Storage Project in Germany

As reported by overseas media on June 29, Envision Energy has signed battery energy storage equipment supply agreement with UK-based firm Elements Green. The company will deliver a 400 MW / 1,600 MWh battery energy storage system for a large-scale energy storage project in Lower Saxony, Germany.

The partnership was unveiled at The smarter E Europe exhibition held in Munich. Named the Stadtdorf Energy Storage Project, it ranks among Germany’s largest under-construction battery energy storage facilities.

Trina Solar Secures Commercial & Industrial Energy Storage System Order

On June 30, Trina Solar announced another breakthrough in its commercial & industrial (C&I) energy storage business. In late June, Trina Solar entered into an in-depth strategic cooperation with Changzhou Yihe New Energy Group and secured an order for 13 units of Trina Potentia Blue Ocean 2 C&I energy storage systems.

The delivered Potentia Blue Ocean 2 series represents Trina Solar’s new-generation benchmark liquid-cooled energy storage product tailored for C&I scenarios. Trina’s all-in-one smart operation solution integrating PV, energy storage and AI can lift comprehensive revenue by 10% according to field tests.

Hithium Inks 366 MWh Energy Storage Cooperation Deal in Germany

On June 30, Hithium announced it had signed a strategic cooperation agreement with intelligent EMS integrator Turbo Energy in Munich, Germany, covering a total capacity of 366 MWh.

The cooperation spans 15 manufacturing sites of a major European industrial conglomerate. The two parties will jointly launch an integrated innovative solution combining Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and AI-powered intelligent energy management for high-energy-consuming European C&I facilities.

Hithium has delivered the first batch of 21 units of 6.25 MWh energy storage systems. Equipped with Hithium ∞Cell 1175 Ah long-duration dedicated energy storage cells, the systems are integrated with Turbo Energy’s AI-driven optimization platform for the first time.

Energy Storage Station EPC Contract Signed for Uzbekistan Project

On June 29, Orient International announced it had secured the EPC general contracting deal for the Celeste Energy Storage Project in Uzbekistan with prominent UAE power developer AMEA Power, with a scale of 150 MW / 300 MWh.

This project marks the first large-scale energy storage station in Uzbekistan’s capital and Orient International’s maiden large-scale standalone energy storage EPC project in Central Asia. The scope covers design, procurement and construction of the energy storage station, step-up substation and supporting transmission lines.

StarCharge Signs Overseas Energy Storage Cooperation Worth Nearly 3.5 GWh

On June 30, StarCharge disclosed that it sealed strategic energy storage cooperation agreements with energy firms including AGE Energy and VBG during EES Europe in Munich, Germany. The total contracted capacity stands at nearly 3.5 GWh, covering overseas markets such as Latvia and Moldova.

Under the agreements, StarCharge will supply self-developed energy storage systems and holistic solutions for multiple storage projects. To date, StarCharge has maintained steady shipments to Europe, with quarterly deliveries hitting nearly 150 MWh.

AlphaESS’s 200 MWh Standalone Energy Storage Station Goes into Operation

On June 30, AlphaESS announced the full commissioning of a 50 MW / 200 MWh standalone energy storage station supplied by the company.

Located in Songjiang Comprehensive Free Trade Zone, Shanghai, the facility is invested and built by Shanghai Electric Power Design Institute and comprises 40 energy storage container systems. It achieved full-capacity grid connection on June 26, becoming the first benchmark project among Shanghai’s 2026 first batch of approved standalone energy storage stations.

The project adopts a dual-technology route combining lithium iron phosphate and semi-solid batteries. It deploys 28 sets of AlphaESS Volcano 5000 liquid-cooled energy storage systems totaling 35 MW / 140 MWh, paired with a 15 MW / 60 MWh semi-solid battery system.

Wolong Energy Storage Signs Over 1,500 MWh European Energy Storage Projects

On July 1, Wolong Energy Storage held a strategic signing ceremony during The smarter E Europe in Munich, Germany. The firm secured two major European energy storage projects: a 400 MW / 800 MWh utility-scale facility for NIEF in Northern Europe and a 185 MW / 740 MWh storage project in Romania.

The combined capacity of the two European projects exceeds 1,500 MWh. The 400 MW / 800 MWh Northern European utility energy storage project serves as a core matching storage facility for local wind and solar power plants, while the 185 MW / 740 MWh Romanian scheme counts as a key energy infrastructure project in Eastern Europe. The facilities will deliver multiple functions including renewable energy matching storage, peak-valley arbitrage and emergency grid backup.
