Energy storage projects and orders have continued to be successfully secured and implemented recently. Huawei is participating in the construction of a 585MWh energy storage project in Sri Lanka, Trina Storage has secured a 160MWh energy storage order in Romania, Saiwei has signed a 6MWh distributed energy storage project in Anhui, and Far East Co., Ltd. disclosed that its newly signed energy storage system orders reached 108 million yuan in May.

Huawei Secures 585MWh Energy Storage Order in Sri Lanka

On May 29, Sri Lanka's largest grid-scale battery energy storage system project reached a major milestone, as the first batch of core equipment arrived smoothly at the Port of Colombo, marking the project's official entry into the construction and implementation phase.

It is reported that the project is jointly developed by Windforce PLC and Vidullanka PLC, with a total capacity of 130MW/585MWh. As the primary technical partner and energy storage solution provider, Huawei is providing advanced energy storage technology and implementation experience to support the project's construction.

Trina Storage Secures 160MWh Energy Storage Order in Romania

Recently, LSG Building Solutions, a Romanian subsidiary of the Austrian LSG Group, officially launched the construction of a 40MW/160MWh battery energy storage system at the Izvoarele photovoltaic park in Giurgiu County, Romania.

The complete set of core energy storage equipment and the integrated solution for this project are exclusively supplied by Trina Storage. The project is equipped with 32 Elementa 2 Pro energy storage units and 4 Electra AC inverters, marking the first commercial deployment in Europe of Trina Storage's self-developed DC+AC integrated architecture solution, Elementa + Electra.

Currently, the project has obtained official construction permits and is expected to achieve grid-connected commercial operation in the third quarter of 2026.

Saiwei Signs Order for 6MWh Distributed Energy Storage Project

Recently, Saiwei successfully signed a contract for a distribution transformer area energy storage demonstration project in Anhui province. The project has a total scale of 6MWh and will deploy a total of 23 units of the S2 "Efficiency King" 261kWh energy storage cabinets.

Abandoning the traditional centralized layout, this 6MWh demonstration project adopts a decentralized construction approach, spreading distribution points across different villages and precisely matching individual transformer areas. With this lightweight deployment rooted at the terminal ends of rural distribution networks, the project aims to create a benchmark model for distributed transformer area energy storage in rural counties.

Far East Co., Ltd. Signs 108 Million Yuan in New Energy Storage System Orders in May

On June 1, Far East Co., Ltd. released an announcement stating that in May 2026, the total value of winning bids and newly signed contracts exceeding 10 million yuan each, received by the company through its subsidiaries, amounted to 1.797 billion yuan. Among them, in the smart battery energy storage business segment, the winning bids and signed contracts exceeding 10 million yuan amounted to 108 million yuan.

According to data compiled by TrendForce's energy storage division, from January to May 2026, Far East Co., Ltd. has disclosed a total of 18 energy storage and lithium battery orders exceeding the 10-million-yuan mark, with a cumulative value reaching 2.19 billion yuan.
