Top 10 Global Energy Storage Integrators 2025: 8 Chinese Firms Included

According to EnergyTrend, foreign media Electrek reported that BYD overtook Tesla to become the world’s largest energy storage system integrator with a 13% market share, based on 2025 global energy storage industry data released by Benchmark Mineral Intelligence.

Eight Chinese enterprises made it to the 2025 Top 10 Global Energy Storage System Integrators list compiled by Benchmark Mineral Intelligence.

In terms of specific rankings, BYD took first place with a 13% market share, followed by Tesla at 10% and Sungrow Power Supply at 9%. CRRC Zhuzhou Institute, CATL and Hithium tied for fourth position, each holding a 6% market share. Huawei and Envision Energy each accounted for 5% of the market share. Sunwoda Electric and Fluence, a joint venture between Siemens and U.S.-based AES Group, both posted a 4% market share and tied for the same rank.

With the continuous development of the energy storage industry, these leading enterprises have adopted differentiated operational strategies and market layouts.

In 2025, BYD’s global energy storage system shipments exceeded 60 GWh. In terms of market deployment, BYD has achieved continuous breakthroughs in largescale energy storage projects. It signed a 12.5 GWh gridside energy storage project with Saudi Electricity Company, setting a record for the world’s largest single gridside energy storage project. Meanwhile, BYD has secured major energy storage orders across multiple regions, with rapid business expansion.

Tesla recorded shipments of 46.7 GWh in 2025 and kept ramping up its energy storage production lines. Although the growth rate of its overall shipments slowed down in 2025, its energy storage business maintained high profitability thanks to mature overseas sales channels and continuously optimized product mix.

Sungrow Power Supply, ranking third on the list, has recently won bids for multiple newtype energy storage and data centersupporting energy storage projects across China. In addition, its 2025 annual report shows a major breakthrough in business structure, with the energy storage business officially becoming its core growth driver.

In 2025, Sungrow’s energy storage system shipments reached 43 GWh. Its energy storage business revenue hit RMB 37.287 billion, a yearonyear increase of 49.39%, accounting for 41.81% of total revenue. For the first time, energy storage surpassed the inverter business to become the company’s largest business segment.
