Recently, the pace of construction and implementation of projects in the lithium battery and energy storage industry chain has continued to accelerate, covering various technical routes such as lithium-ion, sodium-ion, and all-vanadium flow batteries. Multiple GWh-level capacity projects from companies such as CALB, Dangzhuo Technology, and Qinghai Zhaorui have successively made substantial breakthroughs in stages including signing, environmental impact assessment (EIA), commencement of construction, and commissioning.

Phase III Stage II of the Xiamen High-Performance Lithium Battery Project is About to Commence Production
Recently, the Xiamen CALB High-Performance Lithium Battery Project, with a total investment of 15 billion RMB, has once again refreshed its construction "progress bar". Currently, the project construction is advancing on two fronts simultaneously at full speed: Phase III Stage II is about to commence production, and Phase III Stage III has fully started construction, with an all-out sprint towards the expected targets.
It is reported that Phase III Stage II of the CALB High-Performance Lithium Battery Project, located in Tongxiang High-tech City, will primarily construct 5 highly intelligent, green, and environmentally friendly production lines for advanced batteries and power systems, with a planned annual capacity of 20 GWh. At present, the project is in the trial production stage, making a final sprint for its official launch in May.
The Phase III Stage III project officially began construction at the end of March 2026. More than ten large pile drivers are operating simultaneously to carry out full-scale pile foundation construction. The project is expected to be topped out in September this year and put into production in March 2027.
Dangzhuo Technology
Phase II 60 GWh Novel Battery Cell and Module Project Settles in Jiaxing
On the morning of April 20, Dangzhuo's Phase II project with an annual output of 60 GWh of novel battery cells and modules officially settled in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province. The project is located in the Xiangjiadang area of Nanhu District, with a planned total investment exceeding 10 billion RMB. It will add an annual production capacity of 60 GWh for novel battery cells and modules. The initially launched area is scheduled for land supply in June, and the project will be completed and put into production in the second half of 2027.
It is understood that this is the enterprise's second time choosing Nanhu District. In July 2025, Dangzhuo Technology "joined hands" with Nanhu District for the first time, landing the Phase I lithium-ion battery cell and module project with a total investment of 1.6 billion RMB. Under the close cooperation and joint efforts of both parties, the construction of the Phase I factory has been accelerated and is expected to officially commence production by the end of June 2026.

Sodium-Ion Battery and Energy Storage Equipment Manufacturing Project Commences Construction
On April 20, the sodium-ion battery and energy storage equipment manufacturing project of Qinghai Zhaorui New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. officially commenced construction.
It is reported that this project is jointly invested by BTR Group—which is under the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) of Shenzhen, Guangdong—and Guangzhou State-owned Assets. It plans to build a 5 GWh sodium-ion battery cell production base and a 5 GWh energy storage equipment manufacturing base.

6.5 GWh Lithium Battery and 3 GWh All-Vanadium Flow Battery Project Enters Public Notice Stage
On April 13, the 6.5 GWh lithium battery and 3 GWh all-vanadium flow battery production and manufacturing project of Shenyang Xintai Guancheng Energy Technology Co., Ltd. entered the environmental impact assessment (EIA) public notice stage.
The project is located in the Liaohe Economic Zone, Faku County, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. With a total investment of 1.71 billion RMB and a set construction period of 12 months, it has not yet begun construction. The project covers a land area of 26,291 square meters and will build 4 lithium battery production lines and 2 all-vanadium flow battery production lines, with an annual output of 6.5 GWh of lithium batteries and 3 GWh of all-vanadium flow batteries.
Vietnam GG Power
Vietnam GG Power 5 GWh Energy Storage Factory Officially Commissioned
On April 11, the 5 GWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) factory of GG Power in Hung Yen Province, Vietnam, was officially commissioned. The project has a total investment of 12 million USD and an annual production capacity of 5 GWh, capable of covering full-scenario energy storage battery applications. The factory has an automation rate of over 90% and is equipped with a dedicated R&D center.
The implementation of this project benefited from the technology transfer cooperation reached between GG Power and Goldwind. As the Chinese partner, Goldwind exported advanced energy storage technology and provided professional technical training, offering core technical support for the project; GG Power retained the dominance in independent R&D, promoted the localized application of technologies, and achieved deep integration of "local R&D + international standards," creating a model for Sino-Vietnamese energy storage technology cooperation.
