According to EnergyTrend, there has been a concentrated wave of project signings, construction progress and commissioning across the energy storage and battery industry chain recently. Multiple enterprises including Gotion High-Tech, EVE Energy, Easpring Material Technology, CALB and Jusheng Energy are continuously expanding production capacity in links such as battery materials, power batteries and energy storage batteries, while advancing and optimizing their overall capacity layouts simultaneously.
Gotion High-Tech Signs Project for Solid-State Battery Materials
According to Anqing Evening News, a signing ceremony was held on April 18 for Gotion High-Tech’s annual 20,000-ton solid-state battery key materials project. Located in Daguan District, the project is the world’s first industrialization project for key solid-state battery materials.
The project will build a 20,000-ton solid-state battery materials base integrating R&D and production. Production line construction is scheduled to be completed and production capacity ready by 2027. Taking Anqing as a major base, Gotion High-Tech will continue technological innovation and iteration, further extend the industrial chain, and support the local area in building a global highland for solid-state battery materials.
EVE Energy Signs Cooperation Agreement for Overseas Energy Storage Factory Project
On April 16, EVE Energy and Sinomach Automobile held a signing ceremony for a strategic cooperation framework agreement. China National Automobile Import & Export Trading Co., Ltd. and China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd., wholly-owned subsidiaries of Sinomach Automobile, signed special cooperation agreements with EVE Energy respectively.
Two key initiatives will be launched under the cooperation. First, EVE Energy and China National Automobile Import & Export Trading signed a cooperation agreement on a battery circulation chain project with an approximate capacity of 3GWh. Relying on the Battery Home platform, both parties will jointly build a large-scale, professional new energy battery circulation and service system, and enhance the operation service capabilities across the full battery lifecycle.
Meanwhile, EVE Energy signed an overseas energy storage battery factory cooperation agreement with China Automotive Engineering Research Institute. Leveraging its advantages in engineering technology and project management, China Automotive Engineering Research Institute will provide full-process engineering technical support services covering planning, design and construction implementation for EVE Energy’s global capacity layout.
Easpring Material Technology Plans to Build Integrated LFP Project
On April 16, Easpring Material Technology announced that it plans to invest RMB 145 million of its own or self-raised funds to acquire 51% equity in Youtian Technology and 49% equity in Juneng New Materials held by Youshan Technology.
According to the announcement, upon completion of the transaction, Easpring Material Technology will jointly invest with Yunnan Yuntianhua in an integrated lithium iron phosphate (LFP) project, including an annual 150,000-ton LFP production line and an annual 200,000-ton high-performance precursor project for LFP battery new materials. The transaction price for 51% equity in Youtian Technology is RMB 36 million, and the price for 49% equity in Juneng New Materials is RMB 109 million.
The transaction does not constitute a connected transaction or major asset restructuring, and is subject to review and approval by anti-monopoly law enforcement authorities. Upon completion, the project will help build a stable coordinated "resources-materials" supply chain, and improve the profitability and market competitiveness of the company’s phosphorus-based product business.
CALB’s Wuhan Power & Energy Storage Battery Project Nears Commissioning
According to Wuhan Economic and Information Bureau on April 16, the main structure of Phase IV workshop at CALB’s Wuhan Base has been basically finished, with production line installation and debugging underway, targeting mass production by the end of June this year.
Phases I to III of the Wuhan Base have all been completed and put into operation, with a combined annual production capacity of 40GWh power and energy storage batteries. It has become one of CALB’s comprehensive production bases with the most complete product models and widest business coverage, mainly supplying leading automakers including Xpeng, Dongfeng Passenger Vehicle and Geely, as well as top energy storage enterprises such as Sungrow Power Supply.
The output value of the Wuhan Base exceeded RMB 10 billion in 2025. In June of the same year, CALB made an additional investment of RMB 1.2 billion in Wuhan to construct a new Phase IV power battery PACK production line project.
Jusheng Energy’s Solid-State Battery Base Phase I Nears Mass Production
According to recruitment information released by Funing Employment on April 9, equipment installation and debugging have started for Phase I of Jusheng Energy’s Jiangsu Production Base, with mass production scheduled by the end of June 2026.
The Jiangsu Production Base of Jusheng Energy will be constructed in three phases. Phase I was completed in December 2025, covering a total construction area of 260,000 square meters, with a total investment of RMB 850 million in production equipment, purification facilities and power supply systems. It plans to produce 10Ah, 20Ah and 30Ah all-solid-state lithium batteries.
According to prior announcements from the General Office of Funing County People’s Government, Jusheng’s 20GWh high-performance lithium battery project has a total investment of RMB 11 billion, and will achieve an annual production capacity of 20GWh high-performance lithium batteries upon completion. After the full completion of the Jiangsu Base, it will become the world’s largest single all-solid-state battery manufacturing base, with an expected output value of RMB 15 billion upon full production.
