Over 2.5 GW: Huasun and Aiko Secure Major PV Orders
2026-03-26 14:59

According to EnergyTrend, Huasun Energy and Aiko Solar have recently announced remarkable achievements in PV orders, securing key projects in the Southeast Asian market, domestic central state-owned enterprise (SOE) procurement, and the Central European market respectively.

Huasun Signs Southeast Asia Cooperation Deal, Wins 2 GW Module Project Bid

On March 24, Huasun Energy signed strategic cooperation memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with China Railway Shanghai Engineering Bureau, Zheshang Zhongtuo Guangying, and TBEA Electric Equipment Group Co., Ltd. to jointly explore the Southeast Asian PV market through a consortium model, with the first cooperation project having a scale of 400 MW.

Under the agreements, the parties will leverage their respective advantages in high-efficiency heterojunction products, engineering construction, supply chain services, and power equipment. The first project to be implemented is a 400MW centralized grid-connected solar power plant in Laos. It is reported that the project is scheduled to start construction in the third quarter of 2026 on the north bank of the Mekong River, with electricity to be cross-border supplied to Thailand.

On March 25, Huasun secured another important domestic order. The Datang E-commerce Platform released a contract announcement, stating that Huasun has won the bid for Bid Section 2 of Datang Group's 2025-2026 PV module framework procurement. This section focuses on N-type heterojunction PV modules, with an estimated total procurement volume of 2 GW and a contract amount of 1.415 billion yuan.

Aiko Secures 120 MW PV Order in the Czech Republic

Recently, Aiko Solar made a significant breakthrough in the European market. On March 25, Aiko announced that it will provide module support for the largest centralized ground-mounted PV project to date in the Czech Republic.

The project has a total installed capacity of 120 MW and is a key project for the energy transition in Central and Eastern Europe. In response to the practical challenges in the Czech Republic, such as tight land use and strict restrictions on grid connection capacity, Aiko's ABC modules stand out with their core advantages of outstanding mass production efficiency and a high bifacial rate of over 80%. These features enable the maximum improvement of power generation efficiency within limited land areas and significantly enhance the project's economic benefits.

In practical applications, the high-power characteristics of the modules can greatly reduce the number of string sets, simplify DC design, and thereby lower the usage of supports, installation components, and cables. This effectively optimizes the project's levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) and meets the project's requirements.

The achievement of this cooperation marks Aiko's successful entry into the supply system of large-scale PV projects in the Central European market, laying a solid foundation for it to establish long-term cooperative relationships and expand market share locally.
