On February 20, Concord New Energy announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Blue Heron Solar, LLC, has officially entered into a procurement contract with Trina Energy Storage Solutions US Inc. Under this agreement, the company will spend approximately $56.61 million (around RMB 407 million) to purchase energy storage batteries and related core components.
According to the announcement, the two parties initially signed the procurement contract on February 13, 2026, and the buyer subsequently issued a formal purchase order to the supplier on February 20. The procurement covers the energy storage batteries for the project, associated components, as well as testing, commissioning, delivery, and warranty services. Furthermore, the supplier will provide a five-year warranty for this batch of energy storage equipment.
The agreement also includes a specific stipulation regarding potential tariff increases between the signing of the contract and the delivery of the equipment. If rising tariffs cause the procurement price to increase by no more than 20%, the excess amount will be borne by the buyer. However, if the increase exceeds 20%, the additional costs must be negotiated and shared by both parties; should negotiations fail, either party may terminate the purchase order without liability.
The total price of this procurement is approximately $56.61 million, which consists of a base purchase price of about $43.22 million and estimated tariffs amounting to approximately $13.39 million. This batch of energy storage equipment will be utilized to support a large-scale, 146MW/292MWh energy storage project currently being developed by Concord New Energy in the United States. Delivery is expected to be completed on or before August 31, 2026.
Concord New Energy stated that engaging in solar and energy storage projects falls within the Group's ordinary and general course of business. The funds for this procurement will be financed through the Group's internal resources or borrowings.
