Recent construction of domestic energy storage industrial projects has continued to accelerate. Projects involving sodium-ion batteries, energy storage equipment manufacturing, and new energy circular economy in multiple regions have reached key milestones—ranging from collective signings and production line sprints to official operation—driving the industrial layout toward further large-scale development.
Progress on Phase II of East Group’s 2GWh Annual Energy Storage Equipment Manufacturing Project
According to Linze, Gansu authorities, the construction of East Group’s second-phase energy storage production line has entered its final stage recently and is expected to be ready for trial production in March.The installation of equipment for the automated cell production line in Phase II is nearly complete, with final power connection and commissioning underway in the sodium-ion battery workshop.
With a total investment of 1 billion yuan, the project was launched last October and has progressed smoothly. Upon completion, it will help the company fully advance into integrated manufacturing of “wind-solar-energy storage-charging” systems, forming a complete industrial chain covering cell manufacturing, core energy storage components, and energy storage system integration.
Collective Signing Ceremony for Energy Storage Equipment Industrial Park Held in Li County
On the morning of February 12, a collective signing ceremony for the New Energy Circular Economy and Energy Storage Equipment Industrial Park project was held in Li County.
During the ceremony, Li Lun, Director of the County High-tech Zone Administrative Committee, signed the Investment Agreement for Li County New Energy Circular Economy and Energy Storage Equipment Industrial Park Project with Fan Chenchen, Market Development Director of Shandong Hi-Speed New Energy Group, and Liu Songping, General Manager of Hunan Qiushui Changtian Environmental Energy Technology Co., Ltd.
The project involves a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan and will be constructed in two phases.Phase I will be a new energy circular economy industrial park, with a production line for recycling 100,000 tons of retired lithium batteries and photovoltaic modules.Phase II will be an energy storage equipment industrial park.Once fully completed, the project is expected to achieve an annual output value of 2 billion yuan and annual tax revenue of 200 million yuan.
2GWh Sodium-Ion Battery Project Put into Operation
On February 10, the commissioning ceremony for Puer Dianna Energy Technology Co., Ltd.’s 2GWh annual sodium-ion battery project was held in the Ning’er Area of Simao Industrial Park, Yunnan Province.
As Puer’s first operational sodium-ion battery manufacturing project, it plans a total fixed asset investment of 800 million yuan to build a 2GWh annual sodium-ion battery PACK production line.
Its core businesses include new material technology promotion services, manufacturing and sales of batteries and spare parts, manufacturing and sales of electronic components and electromechanical equipment, as well as energy storage technology services.
