As learned from EnergyTrend, the World Future Energy Summit 2026 (WFES 2026) was held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from January 13 to 15. More than 20 Chinese enterprises, including JA Energy Storage, Trina Energy Storage, Risen Energy, BYD Energy Storage, Sungrow, and Hithium, showcased their core PV and energy storage products at the event, with several companies securing multiple major on-site contracts.
A Flurry of On-site Contracts
The exhibition yielded fruitful signing results, as Hithium, Envision Energy, Risen Energy, Huasun, Hoymiles, Kstar, and SOFARSOLAR all clinched important cooperation agreements.
Hithium: Signs Contract for 120MWh Energy Storage System Products
Hithium showcased its ∞Power 6.9MWh 8-hour long-duration energy storage system and ∞Cell 1300Ah 8h dedicated battery cells, marking the first international exhibition debut of the company’s 8-hour long-duration energy storage solution. Meanwhile, Hithium held a signing ceremony with Infinity Power, under which the two parties plan to deploy a total of 120MWh energy storage system products for the Nefer Benban project.
Envision Energy: Secures Key BESS Cooperation Agreement
According to foreign media Trend News Agency, Envision Energy signed a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) with Samruk-Kazyna Investment Corporation at the exhibition, to localize the production of battery energy storage systems (BESS) in Kazakhstan. Pursuant to the JDA, the two parties will jointly evaluate the technical, investment and organizational parameters of the project, and explore potential cooperation models.
Risen Energy: Inks Annual 300MW Module Cooperation Agreement
At the exhibition, Risen Energy comprehensively demonstrated its integrated PV and energy storage solutions covering residential, commercial & industrial (C&I), and large-scale PV-plus-storage power plants, while simultaneously presenting the latest upgrade achievements of its Risen Cloud intelligent energy management platform. On-site, Risen Energy reached a strategic cooperation with RESC (Renewable Energy Solutions & Consulting), a Saudi renewable energy technology and engineering company. Centering on an annual 300MW module cooperation, the two parties will carry out in-depth full-chain collaboration covering PV modules, inverters, as well as the full matrix of residential energy storage, C&I energy storage, and large-scale energy storage products.
Huasun: Debuts Integrated High-voltage Energy Storage System
Huasun showcased its high-efficiency heterojunction (HJT) PV product portfolio and launched its brand-new All-In-One integrated high-voltage energy storage system globally for the first time. Among its offerings, the Huasun Himalaya series modules have achieved a mass production power output of up to 730W and a conversion efficiency of 23.5%.
In addition, Huasun formally released its All-In-One integrated high-voltage energy storage system to the world for the first time. During the exhibition, Huasun successfully secured an exclusive supply cooperation for a Middle East communication project with Waltz Solutions & Services.
Hoymiles: Signs Contracts with Over 10 Core Partners
Hoymiles displayed its product and system solutions including the HMS series microinverters, HIT and HIS series residential energy storage systems, and HoyUltra 2 fully liquid-cooled energy storage systems. The company also completed strategic signings with more than 10 core Middle Eastern partners, including local well-known PV and energy storage product suppliers and distributors such as Voltrex, Qsun, Solis Depot, Green Nova, BEST Solar, and ZTC.
Kstar: Signs Strategic Cooperation Agreement
Kstar exhibited three core solutions covering residential, C&I, and large-scale power plant sectors, including the new-generation BlueSpark series residential PV-plus-storage solutions and BluePulse series C&I energy storage systems. Its BluePulse series C&I energy storage systems have been successfully deployed in multiple C&I projects across the Middle East. During the exhibition, Kstar formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement with a local renowned PV and energy storage company, under which the two parties will conduct in-depth collaboration in the fields of PV inverters and energy storage.
SOFARSOLAR: Signs Cooperation Agreements with Multiple Partners
SOFARSOLAR showcased its flagship products including the PowerIn C&I PV-plus-storage system, PowerMagic C&I energy storage system, and PowerEasy integrated intelligent PV-plus-storage system. During the exhibition, SOFARSOLAR held cooperation signing ceremonies with multiple Middle Eastern partners, reaching a number of strategic cooperation agreements on the local market promotion, technical support, and project implementation of PV and energy storage systems.
Multiple Enterprises Showcase PV & Energy Storage Solutions
Beyond the Chinese enterprises that signed contracts on-site, BYD Energy Storage, Trina Energy Storage, JA Energy Storage, Sungrow, CLOU Electronics, Fox ESS, CRRC Times Electric, TBEA, Shanghai Electric, Hyxipower and EENOVANCE also participated with key exhibits, accelerating their market expansion in the Middle East.
BYD Energy Storage: Presents Grid-connected Large-scale PV-plus-storage Project Cases
BYD Energy Storage’s Haohan Energy Storage System, equipped with the world’s largest mass-produced 2710Ah energy storage dedicated blade battery with a unit capacity of 14.5MWh, attracted significant attention. Combined with the self-developed full-stack GC Flux PCS medium-voltage all-in-one machine and GC Master EMS energy management system, BYD Energy Storage’s GW-level grid-forming energy storage solution provides critical support for large-scale PV grid connection in desert areas.
Meanwhile, BYD Energy Storage used a sand table to visually present the case of a large-scale PV-plus-storage project that has been successfully grid-connected in the extreme arid environment of Chile’s Atacama Desert. Reportedly, this project is the largest PV-plus-storage project in Latin America, with BYD Energy Storage having supplied a cumulative total of 6.5GWh, including the 3.5GWh Phase VI project, which is the largest single-unit energy storage project in South America.
Trina Energy Storage: Energy Storage Solutions for AIDC
Trina Energy Storage’s exhibition focus was its energy storage solution tailored for Artificial Intelligence Data Centers (AIDC). The solution is based on the new-generation Elementa King Kong 3 Energy Storage Platform and integrates advanced grid-forming technology.
The Elementa King Kong 3 Energy Storage System is equipped with 587Ah large-capacity battery cells, boasting a single-container capacity of 6.25MWh. Meanwhile, Trina Energy Storage has introduced grid-forming technology into AIDC application scenarios, providing active power support for AI data centers.
JA Energy Storage: Showcases a Variety of Energy Storage Products
JA Energy Storage exhibited a diverse range of energy storage products, with the JAPlanet C&I 125kW/261kWh all-in-one machine emerging as a highlight. Featuring an integrated cabinet design with high integration and a small footprint, the product consists of five core modules: battery energy storage, energy storage converter (PCS), battery management system (BMS), energy management system (EMS), and auxiliary support systems (temperature control system, fire protection system, and cabinet protection). The product is suitable for a variety of application scenarios.
Sungrow: Integrated C&I PV and Energy Storage Solutions
Sungrow displayed its integrated PV-plus-storage solutions for C&I applications and new-generation utility-scale inverters. Among them, the PowerStack ST255CS is a fully integrated liquid-cooled energy storage system with a PCS capacity of 125kW and a battery capacity of 257kWh, suitable for C&I microgrid applications.
Recently, Sungrow entered into a cooperation with the Egyptian government and Scatec, under which it will build the first 10GWh battery energy storage system factory in the Middle East and Africa region at the Suez Canal Economic Zone in Egypt.
CLOU Electronics: Latest Large-scale and C&I Energy Storage Solutions
CLOU Electronics showcased its latest large-scale and C&I energy storage solutions, with the Aqua-C3.0 Pro liquid-cooled energy storage system and AC-side solution customized for harsh desert high-temperature environments standing out as key attractions.
According to introductions, the Aqua-C3.0 Pro system is equipped with ultra-large capacity battery cells of over 600Ah, delivering a single-cabinet capacity of 7.345MWh. Through multiple technological innovations, the system has achieved a 10.63% reduction in total cost of ownership (TCO).
Fox ESS: C&I Energy Storage Solutions
Fox ESS exhibited its C&I energy storage solutions and residential energy storage products. Among them, the combination of H3 Plus inverter and CQ16 stackable batteries features high efficiency, stability, and flexible scalability, specifically designed for high-load C&I scenarios. The P100 all-in-one machine, as a one-stop solution for household energy needs, boasts an integrated design and intelligent management capabilities.
In addition, Fox ESS showcased its FoxCloud 2.0 AI intelligent system and full-stack product portfolio at the FUSE AI exhibition area, aiming to reserve core capabilities for future large-scale PV grid connection and power grid upgrading.
CRRC Times Electric: PV & Energy Storage Solutions
CRRC Times Electric made a high-profile appearance with three new energy solutions incorporating its high-speed rail technology heritage, including modular PV-plus-storage converter solutions and new-generation PV-plus-storage converter solutions for the energy storage sector.
Based on its overseas mainstream modular products including 1100kW PV inverters and 1250kW energy storage converters, CRRC Times Electric launched new 8.8MW inverter-booster all-in-one machine and 5MW converter-booster all-in-one machine solutions, meeting the stable grid connection requirements of gigawatt-scale PV-plus-storage power plants.
TBEA: Utility-scale Centralized Inverters
TBEA highlighted its utility-scale centralized inverters and Static Var Generator (SVG) solutions at the exhibition. In large-scale new energy power plants and energy storage projects, TBEA often integrates centralized inverters, SVG, and energy storage systems into a PV+Energy Storage+SVG full-chain solution.
During the exhibition, TBEA held strategic meetings with power companies, project developers, EPC contractors, and technical partners to explore cooperation opportunities in PV and energy storage.
Shanghai Electric: Displays Full-industry Chain Zero-carbon Solutions
Shanghai Electric showcased innovative practice solutions such as power grid resilience upgrading and industrial park zero-carbon solutions, demonstrating the implementation achievements of China’s high-end equipment manufacturing in building new power systems through a series of well-planned themed exhibition areas.
Currently, Shanghai Electric is actively expanding its presence in emerging markets such as the Middle East, Australia, and Africa, including the signed Dubai 8-hour energy storage system project.
Hyxipower: Customized Energy Storage Solutions for the Middle East
Hyxipower presented a comprehensive product portfolio of customized energy storage solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial (C&I) applications tailored for the Middle Eastern market. In the residential energy storage sector, Hyxipower focused on introducing its High-voltage Battery 2.0 and High-voltage Battery 3.0.
For C&I applications, Hyxipower launched its 215kWh energy storage system. Equipped with an intelligent EMS, DC-coupled system, 20ms STS switch, and 4-level fire protection system, the energy storage system enables rapid on-site plug-and-play deployment.
EENOVANCE
EENOVANCE exhibited a full range of energy storage solutions precisely customized for different markets, including ECO series low-voltage energy storage batteries, MANA series, and E-MATE 143R.
Its ECO series low-voltage energy storage batteries attracted much attention. Adopting stable LFP (lithium iron phosphate) technology, the series features one-click parallel expansion capability supporting the interconnection of up to 15 battery units, covering a wide range of available capacities from 2.56kWh to 8.03kWh per unit.
The E-MATE 143R is targeted at large-scale scenarios such as energy storage supporting large-scale PV projects in the Middle East and data center backup power supplies, with a maximum parallel connection of 14 units enabling an ultra-large energy storage capacity of 3.2MWh.
