On January 6, foreign media reported that Trina Solar and Middle Eastern enterprise ACWA Power signed two new cooperation agreements covering two large-scale ground-mounted photovoltaic (PV) projects in Saudi Arabia, with a total project capacity of 2.65 GW.
Under the agreements, the cooperation focuses on two core components. First, Trina Solar will supply high-efficiency PV modules for the 1.15 GW Haden Solar PV Project. Second, it will provide 900 MW of trackers for the 1.5 GW Al Khushaybi PV Project.
The Haden Project is constructed by China Energy International Group and developed by ACWA Power. Scheduled for completion in July 2026 and grid connection in February 2027, the project adopts Trina Solar’s Vertex N Series bifacial modules, with continuous supply commencing in 2024.
For the Al Khushaybi Project, Trina Solar will deliver 900 MW of its 1P Vanguard trackers. These tracker products are manufactured at TrinaTracker’s factory in Jeddah, which officially started production in February last year and boasts an annual production capacity of 3 GW.
As reported, the Haden PV Project is expected to be completed in July 2026 and connected to the power grid in February 2027.
