Recently, several battery project constructions have welcomed new developments, including those focused on solid-state energy storage batteries and power batteries.
1 GWh Solid-State Energy Storage Battery Project Launched
According to news from the Hukou County People's Government website, the Hukou County People's Government in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, recently released a notice of proposed acceptance for the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Report for Hukou Pure Lithium New Energy Co., Ltd.'s 1 GWh Solid-State Energy Storage Battery Production Project.
The annual 1 GWh solid-state energy storage battery production project has an investment of 150 million RMB, covering an area of over 68,000 square meters. The project components include the main works, auxiliary works, storage and transportation works, public utility works, and environmental protection works, with a construction period of 12 months.
Information shows that Hukou Pure Lithium New Energy Co., Ltd. was established in 2024. Its business scope includes battery manufacturing, sales, production of battery parts, and sales of battery parts. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Beijing Pure Lithium New Energy Technology Co., Ltd.
New Progress of ExxonMobil's 10GWh Energy Storage Battery Project
According to Yancheng Economic and Technological Development Zone, the main structure and curtain wall project of the comprehensive building of ExxonMobil's 10GWh Energy Storage Battery Project have been fully completed and entered the interior decoration stage. The main steel structure construction of the cell workshop has been finished, and the overall project progress has exceeded 65%. It is expected to meet the conditions for mechanical and electrical equipment entry in early January next year.
With a total investment of 3.07 billion RMB, the project will build a new factory covering approximately 100,000 square meters. After completion, it will form an annual production capacity of 10GWh large-capacity energy storage batteries and supporting system integration. When fully operational, the project is expected to achieve an annual output value exceeding 6 billion RMB.
CORNEX Phase II Project to Enter Main Construction Stage
The construction progress of CORNEX's Yichang 80GWh Next-Generation Lithium Battery Project located in Longquan Town, Yiling District has been updated.
It is reported that the pile foundation, road and pipeline network construction are being vigorously promoted at this stage. At present, 70% of the road and pipeline network has been completed, and the pile foundation construction is carried out 24 hours a day to ensure full completion by the end of this month. The main construction stage will be gradually entered next month.
As planned, the main structure of the project will be capped before the 2026 Spring Festival. With a total investment of 22 billion RMB, the project mainly focuses on the R&D, manufacturing and sales of power batteries, energy storage batteries and module PACK, as well as energy management systems.
Gotion High-Tech Jiangxi Yichun Battery Project Fully Operational
On November 30th, the unveiling ceremony of Yichun Gotion Battery Phase II Project was held at Yichun Gotion Battery Co., Ltd. in Yichun Economic and Technological Development Zone, Jiangxi Province.
Invested and constructed by Gotion High-Tech, the project has a total investment of 5.15 billion RMB and is designed to form an annual production capacity of 20GWh power batteries. The project officially started construction in January 2024 and was put into production in August this year.
Up to now, the Phase II L300 production line has completed the delivery of nearly 1.5 million cells and has been successfully put into operation.
200,000 Tonnes of Lithium Iron Phosphate Project Settles in Xiangyang
According to Xiangyang Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment, the Baokang Branch of Xiangyang Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment recently released the "Second Public Notice on Environmental Impact Assessment of the 200,000 Ton/Year Lithium Battery Cathode Material Precursor Project by Baokang Chufeng Chemical Co., Ltd.". Tens of thousands of tons of lithium iron phosphate production capacity is about to land in Hubei Province.
Located in Gucheng Chemical Industry Park, Xiangyang City, the project will be invested 6.2 billion RMB by Baokang Chufeng Chemical Co., Ltd. to build a new lithium battery cathode material precursor project. It will form an annual production capacity of 200,000 tons of phosphoferric acid and 1 million tons of compound fertilizer, with supporting public engineering, auxiliary engineering, storage and transportation engineering, and environmental protection engineering.
