On November 16th, LONGi Green Energy, together with ENGIE Group — a Fortune Global 500 energy enterprise from France — and China Shandong Electric Power Construction Third Engineering Co., Ltd. (SEPCOIII), jointly signed a cooperation agreement for the 1.5GW Hazna Photovoltaic Project in Abu Dhabi, UAE, in Beijing.

This marks a key progress following the framework agreement signed by the three parties in Paris last May, indicating that the project has fully entered the implementation phase. It is reported that the 1.5GW Abu Dhabi Hazna Photovoltaic Project, located in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, is an ultra-large-scale centralized photovoltaic power station.

Last October, a consortium consisting of France’s ENGIE and Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar) won the main contract for the Hazna Solar Project.

Under the agreement, LONGi Green Energy will act as the photovoltaic technology supplier for the project, providing 1.1GW of high-efficiency BC modules Hi-MO9. SEPCOIII, in the capacity of EPC general contractor, will be fully responsible for the design, procurement and construction of the entire project.

Zhong Baoshen, Chairman of LONGi, stated that the three parties will leverage their advantages in project development, technological innovation and engineering construction to promote the smooth commercial operation of the project and expand cooperation achievements.
