On November 20, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region's Online Approval Service Hall for Investment Projects announced that the 300MW/1200MWh New Independent Energy Storage Demonstration Project submitted by Horqin Right Middle Banner Guangchu Zhilian New Energy Co., Ltd. has passed filing approval. The project complies with industrial policies and market access standards and is authorized to proceed with construction.

According to Qichacha information, Horqin Right Middle Banner Guangchu Zhilian New Energy Co., Ltd. is wholly owned by Inner Mongolia Xing'an League Zhichu New Energy Co., Ltd., which in turn is wholly owned by Xi'an Longi New Energy Co., Ltd. Xi'an Longi is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Longi Green Energy.

With a total investment of RMB 1 billion, the project is fully controlled by LONGi Green Energy through its wholly-owned subsidiary Xi'an LONGi. It represents another significant benchmark project in LONGi's energy storage sector expansion. Funding arrangements include RMB 200 million in equity capital and an RMB 800 million bank loan application.

The project site is located in Kunduleng Village, Tulemaodu Town, Horqin Right Middle Banner, Xing'an League. The planned construction period spans from June 2026 to December 2026.

The project will construct a 300MW/1200MWh lithium iron phosphate electrochemical energy storage power station, accompanied by a 220kV step-up substation. It will connect to the 220kV side of the Taohemu 500kV substation via a single 220kV transmission line. Energy storage units will feed into the 35kV collection line, which connects to the 35kV side of the main transformer at the Energy Storage 220kV Substation. The final output will be transmitted at 220kV to the 220kV side of the Taohemu 500kV Substation. This phase includes one 220kV outgoing line and twelve 35kV outgoing lines.
