On November 7th, TCL Zhonghuan held a new high-efficiency module launch event, officially introducing the TCL Solar T5 Pro High-Efficiency Multi-Cut Photovoltaic Module.
Currently, TCL Zhonghuan has established a full industry chain layout, spanning from monocrystalline wafers to high-efficiency modules. With breakthroughs in both higher conversion efficiency and higher power output, the T5 Pro is positioned to be the new flagship product for the iteration of N-type TOPCon technology.
According to the product introduction, the T5 Pro features three core "Pro+" advantages:
Power & Efficiency Pro+: Utilizes three-cut, high-density packaging combined with a low-resistance design. For the standard module size, power output is increased by over 15W and efficiency is improved by over 0.5% compared to conventional half-cut modules.
Product Reliability Pro+: Adopts small-current technology for temperature control. The maximum hotspot temperature is 45°C lower and the operating temperature is 1–1.5°C lower than conventional modules, thus eliminating fire hazards. Furthermore, the product has passed rigorous tests, including IEC Level 8 salt mist tests and combination tests, ensuring resistance to harsh environments.
Customer Value Pro+: Taking the standard size T5 Pro product as an example: For a 0.7MW commercial rooftop project in Suzhou, the system BOS cost is reduced by 2.63%. The LCOE (Levelized Cost of Energy) is reduced by 0.66%–1.82%. Energy yield across the full lifecycle is increased by 4%.
Additionally, the launch event included the signing ceremony for the industry's first Multi-Cut Technology White Paper collaboration.
Ju Xia, Vice President of TCL Zhonghuan and General Manager of the Battery & Module Division, along with Li Weichun, Vice President of TÜV Rheinland's Global Power Electronics Product Service and Vice President of Solar & Commercial Product Services for Greater China, jointly completed the signing. This signifies that TCL Zhonghuan's technological innovation has been affirmed by a third-party verification body.
In her speech, Ju Xia explicitly stated, "The photovoltaic industry has moved from an era of scale competition to an era of value competition, and the technological route must be anchored to market demand." She confirmed that TCL Zhonghuan adheres to parallel technical routes, including BC and TOPCon, and that the T5 Pro is a key achievement in the scenario-based innovation of the TOPCon route.
Finally, Ju Xia revealed that TCL Zhonghuan is advancing more new products toward mass production, aiming to further assist the photovoltaic industry in entering a new stage of high-quality development through technological innovation.
