Trina Storage Secures Another 5GWh Australia Order, Nearly 10GWh in Two Months

On November 4th,Trina Solar announced that its holding subsidiary,Trina Storage,recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding(MoU)with Pacific Green Energy Group Pty Ltd(referred to as"Pacific Green")for an energy storage cooperation totaling 5 GWh.

Under the agreement,the two parties plan to cooperatively deliver battery energy storage systems with a total scale of up to 5 GWh between 2026 and 2028.Trina Storage will supply its advanced grid-scale energy storage systems,while Pacific Green will be responsible for project development and delivery in Australia and other international markets.

Previously,Trina Solar had signed a 1.5 GW Vertex N module supply agreement with Marubeni Australia and also announced at the beginning of this year that it would supply energy storage systems for the Limestone Coast North project in South Australia.This project is a key initiative for Pacific Green,with an investment scale of AUD 460 million and a planned installed capacity of 250 MW/500 MWh.

It is worth noting that Trina Storage’s overseas orders have been accumulating rapidly,reaching close to 10 GWh in announced volume over the past two months.

On October 30th,Trina Storage announced that it had recently signed an energy storage product sales contract with a regional customer in Europe,for an order exceeding 1GWh.

On October 28th,Trina Solar also partnered with Atlas Renewable Energy to jointly develop a 233MW/1003MWh grid-forming energy storage project in Chile.

In September,Trina Storage announced the formal signing of a strategic cooperation agreement(MOU)on large-scale energy storage business with Yuasa Trading Co.,Ltd.of Japan.Starting from 2025,it will supply a total of 500MWh of large-scale energy storage systems to the Japanese market.

Also in September,Trina Storage signed energy storage product sales contracts with three customers from China,Latin America,and the Asia-Pacific region,totaling 2.48GWh(Note:Specific breakdown of the order volume is unavailable as the contracts were announced together).
