On September 18th, the 240 MWh user-side energy storage power station of Jiangsu Jingjiang Special Steel Co., Ltd., the largest-scale user-side energy storage power station in Jiangsu Province, was officially connected to the grid for operation.

Located within the premises of Jiangsu Jingjiang Special Steel Co., Ltd., this project adopts grid-forming energy storage technology, which boasts advantages such as flexible operation, rapid start-up, and significant dynamic benefits, and can enhance the stability of the power system. According to calculations, when operating at full load, its total power reaches 120,000 kilowatts, with an electricity storage capacity of 240,000 kilowatt-hours—equivalent to meeting the one-day electricity demand of 30,000 households. This power station will form a cluster effect with the already commissioned energy storage projects such as those of New Yangzi Shipbuilding and Changqiang Iron and Steel in Jiangsu, increasing the total capacity of user-side energy storage in Jiangsu to 157,200 kilowatts.
