Jinko Power Storage, a global leader in the energy storage sector and a subsidiary of JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd., recently announced a cooperation agreement with a well-known Japanese industrial enterprise. Under the agreement, Jinko Power Storage will deliver 21 units of its SunGiga 215 kWh commercial and industrial (C&I) liquid-cooled energy storage systems, with a total project capacity of 4.515 MWh.
The project is designed to address Japan’s growing demand for energy optimization in the C&I sector. By combining energy storage with energy efficiency management, it will help customers improve energy utilization efficiency, ensure power supply stability, and support Japan’s broader goal of optimizing its energy structure.
The SunGiga 215 kWh system features an advanced liquid-cooling thermal management system capable of controlling cell temperature differences within 2°C. Its fully enclosed cabinet design meets IP55 protection standards, while a five-layer safety architecture—spanning from the cell, battery pack, and battery cluster to the container and system levels—ensures comprehensive safety. With wide-temperature operation capability, the system remains reliable under extreme cold and heat, avoiding shutdowns and securing long-term stable performance.
“The signing of this project in Japan is an important validation of Jinko Power Storage’s ability to meet the needs of the Asia-Pacific market and marks a key step in our expansion into Japan’s C&I energy storage sector,” said Xi Wang, General Manager of Jinko Power Storage Asia-Pacific. “Looking ahead, we will continue to refine our localized solutions, help more Japanese enterprises enhance energy resilience, and promote the deep application of storage technology in the region’s energy transition.”
