Recently, two major energy storage projects, each with an investment of 850 million yuan, have been launched in Shangrao, Jiangxi Province: a 300MW/600MWh independent energy storage power station project by Jiangxi Tiehang Technology Co., Ltd., and a 300MW/600MWh shared energy storage power station project by Jinko Power.
Upon completion and commissioning, both projects are expected to achieve over 180 million kWh of annual charge/discharge capacity and generate more than 150 million yuan in annual output value.
Public information shows that Jiangxi Tiehang Technology Co., Ltd. was established in December 2020 and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jiangxi Railway and Aviation Investment Group Co., Ltd., a state-owned enterprise of Jiangxi Province. The parent company was founded in November 2006 with a registered capital of 20.264 billion yuan. It serves as the main investment, construction, and operation entity for railway and aviation projects in Jiangxi. It is also a comprehensive industrial group integrating financial capital, ancillary resource development, modern logistics services, and technological innovation.
Jinko Power was established in July 2011 and is headquartered in Shanghai. It was listed on the main board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange in May 2020. The company focuses on the downstream segment of the photovoltaic power generation industry, with business operations covering PV power station development, EPC contracting, intelligent operation and maintenance, and integrated energy services. Energy storage is one of Jinko Power’s core strategic focuses for 2025.
The company has been expanding its energy storage business across various regions in China, covering multiple application scenarios including the power generation side, grid side, and user side. As of the end of 2024, excluding energy storage facilities paired with power generation sources, the company’s self-owned independent energy storage station capacity reached 298MWh, with newly secured project filings exceeding 1,970MWh.
