According to foreign media reports on the 15th, LONGi signed another important framework supply agreement with Singapore Vanda RE to supply 1GW of high-performance photovoltaic modules for its PV energy storage project in Riau Islands, Indonesia.

This is another 1GW order after LONGi signed an order for super 1GW high-efficiency upgraded Hi-MO9 modules with ENGIE and CECC in Paris a few days ago.

Vanda RE, a joint venture between Singapore's Gurīn Energy and Malaysia's Gentari through Gentari International Renewables, has a centralized renewable energy project covering 2GW of PV and 4.4GWh of energy storage configurations, which, as a core part of the Indonesia-Singapore Green Economy Corridor Initiative, promotes both cross-border carbon reduction and meets the local manufacturing ratio requirement for Indonesia's renewable energy infrastructure.

Enda Ginting, Gurīn Energy's Country Manager for Indonesia, noted that the partnership with LONGi is far-reaching for the joint venture, and that LONGi's strengths in clean energy innovation fit with the goal of accelerating Asia's energy transition, which is one of the key aspects of Vanda RE's partnership to promote Indonesia as a cleantech hub. This project will boost Indonesia's clean energy manufacturing, create green jobs, attract foreign investment, and highlight the advantages of cost reduction in large-scale photovoltaic storage projects.

Frank Zhao, President of LONGi Asia Pacific, emphasized the strategic value of this cooperation, which not only meets Indonesia's local manufacturing requirements, but also confirms that renewable energy investment can promote industrial development and strengthen regional energy cooperation. The application of high-efficiency photovoltaic modules will help Indonesia become a regional clean technology center and provide Singapore with economical green power, which is a model of public-private partnership to promote carbon reduction in ASEAN.
