According to Wechat Official Account @DNE, on May 7th, LONGi Green Energy released the investor relations activity record of its performance briefing. The company's Chairman Zhong Baoshen, Director and Chief Financial Officer Liu Xuewen, Independent Director Li Meicheng, and Board Secretary Liu Xiaodong participated in the reception and responded to questions regarding technology, market, and company operations.

Regarding BC technology, LONGi Green Energy stated that it currently has 15GW of second-generation mass production capacity. It is expected that the BC second-generation capacity will increase to 35GW by the end of June this year and to 50GW by the end of this year.

"With the rapid increase in production capacity, it is expected that starting from July this year, the output ratio of BC products will rapidly increase in our overall production capacity. By the second half of this year, approximately 50% of the BC products produced by our own battery capacity will be BC products."

Regarding the cost reduction plan for BC technology, LONGi Green Energy revealed that its goal is to have the cost of BC products close to the mainstream TOPCon products in the market by the end of this year. There is still a certain cost gap at present, but the company is more focused on gross profit margin.

At the same time, LONGi Green Energy stated that the difficulty of BC second-generation in the direction of base metals is lower. "In terms of cost reduction, compared to silver paste, the use of base metal alternatives to precious metals can reduce metallization costs by two cents per watt."

Regarding the premium and profitability of BC products, LONGi Green Energy revealed that in the long term, the expected premium for BC products in the centralized market is around 15%. Due to the diversity of products in the distributed market, it is difficult to give a specific premium level. "Generally, the premium in the distributed market will be higher than that in the centralized market."

Regarding the judgment of the photovoltaic market in 2025-2026, LONGi Green Energy stated: "We believe that the entire market will enter a medium-to-low speed growth phase in 2025-2026."

"Due to the large overall increase in 2024, there are many uncertain factors facing 2025. Compared with 2024, the full-year photovoltaic demand in 2025 may be flat or slightly growing. After the power system adjusts and adapts to the acceptance of new energy, it is expected that photovoltaic demand will still be in a growth state in 2026."

Regarding the current trade barriers in the United States, LONGi Green Energy stated that it produces photovoltaic cells in Malaysia and exports them to a US joint venture factory, which then produces photovoltaic modules. Although the United States has also introduced new tariff policies targeting Malaysia, the tariff rate faced by the Malaysian factory is lower compared to other Southeast Asian regions, giving it some relative advantages.

"With the changes in US policies, the extent to which the US market size will change remains uncertain. The company will continue to steadily advance its US market business relying on the established supply chain path and pay close attention to relevant US policies."

At this performance briefing, Zhong Baoshen reiterated that under the impact of the industry's deep adjustment, 2024 became the most difficult year for the company in nearly a decade, with significant net losses. It is reported that LONGi Green Energy's net loss in 2024 was 8.618 billion yuan, and the company's net loss in the first quarter of 2025 was 1.436 billion yuan.

In terms of shipments, in 2024, LONGi Green Energy achieved silicon wafer shipments of 108.46GW and battery module shipments of 82.32GW, of which BC module shipments reached 17.33GW. In the first quarter of 2025, silicon wafer shipments reached 23.46GW, battery module shipments reached 16.93GW, and BC module shipments were 4.32GW.
