According to Wechat Official Account @GlobalPV, LONGi Green Energy, together with the world-renowned energy group ENGIE and the world's leading electric power construction company CECC, signed an important strategic cooperation in Paris, France, in which LONGi Green Energy will provide more than 1GW of high-efficiency upgraded Hi-MO 9 modules. The signing of this global large-volume BC cooperation means that high-efficiency BC technology has entered the stage of large-scale application and commercial value realization, and also marks that the global PV ecology is “running” into the BC era.

Paulo Almirante, Senior Executive Vice President of Renewable Energy and Flexible Power Generation of ENGIE, Chen Guanfu, Chairman of CECC International Engineering Co., Ltd, Li Zhenguo, Founder and President of LONGi Green Energy, She Haifeng, Vice President of LONGi Green Energy, and Cui Meng, President of Centralized Europe Region of LONGi Green Energy, attended the signing ceremony together.

The new BC II technology Hi-MO 9 upgraded module supplied by LONGi Green Energy has a power of up to 670W and a conversion efficiency of up to 24.8%, which still has ultra-low attenuation performance in high temperature, high humidity and other complex scenarios, and significantly reduces the risk of failure and fire of the module, releasing more energy and value in the whole life cycle of the power station. This strategic cooperation will greatly promote the realization of renewable energy goals in the MEA region and accelerate the cleaner transformation of the local energy structure.

As the flagship product of LONGi Green Energy's Hi-MO series, Hi-MO 9 is based on HPBC 2.0 technology, and the back-contact cell design effectively solves the effect of shadows on the front of the module, maximizes light absorption, and ensures excellent power generation performance and long-term reliability even under harsh desert conditions. With the support of the “LONGi Product Life Cycle Standard” and the industry's first “Lighthouse Factory” manufacturing process, Hi-MO 9 can minimize the impact of humidity and temperature fluctuations on the module's performance, making it a better choice for harsh outdoor environments.

Li Zhenguo, Founder and President of LONGi Green Energy, said that the signing of this tripartite cooperation agreement will help LONGi Green Energy establish a long-term and stable strategic partnership with ENGIE and CECC on the basis of their existing cooperation. The three parties will give full play to their respective advantages in project development, technological innovation and engineering implementation to continuously expand the results of cooperation and lead the global clean energy transformation.

“ENGIE's application of BC II technology Hi-MO 9 modules to this strategic cooperation fully demonstrates the global energy industry's affirmation and recognition of the ultimate route of PV technology, i.e. high-efficiency BC technology.” Mr. She Haifeng, Vice President of LONGi Green Energy, said, “Meanwhile, while accelerating the local net-zero emissions target, the tripartite cooperation also sets a new standard for the construction of large-scale PV power plants around the globe, reaffirming LONGi Green Energy's commitment to providing customers around the world with solutions that are more efficient, reliable and sustainable.”

As more and more high-efficiency BC PV power plants are built around the world, a new and more sustainable future is speeding up for us.
