According to Wechat Official Account @EnergyStorage001, on April 26th, the "Wuqing 200MW/400MWh Independent Shared Energy Storage Power Station Project of Tianjin Jianyuan Energy" officially commenced construction in Wuqing District.

This project is invested and constructed by Shenzhen Yichu Energy Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Jiangxi Ganfeng Lithium Group Co., Ltd. With a total investment of approximately 630 million yuan and covering an area of 31 mu, it is expected to achieve full operation by the end of 2025. It will become the first new-type grid-side energy storage power station of Tianjin's power grid, injecting strong impetus into the energy structure transformation in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the realization of the "dual carbon" goals.

The project has a designed scale of 200MW/400MWh and is an electrochemical energy storage power station that is a key planning project in Wuqing District, featuring both independence and sharing. The power station will effectively relieve the pressure of seasonal peak electricity consumption in Wuqing Development Zone by adjusting the power grid load and enhancing the consumption capacity of renewable energy sources, ensuring the stable production of enterprises. At the same time, it will improve regional power safety and the proportion of green electricity, and contribute to the construction of a zero-carbon industrial park in Wuqing District.
Shi Jiao, General Manager of Shenzhen Yichu Energy, said, "This project is not only an important practice of Ganfeng Lithium's 'full life cycle of lithium batteries' solution, but also provides innovative support for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region to build a clean and low-carbon modern energy system." After the project is completed, it can reduce the consumption of standard coal by approximately 70,000 tons per year, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 200,000 tons, which is equivalent to afforesting an area of 1,000 mu. After the project is put into operation, the annual electricity purchase and sales volume can reach 220 million kWh, achieving an annual output value of 90 million yuan and an annual tax payment of approximately 5 million yuan.
